Im trying to run EQ in Windows 11 for ARM in a virtual machine through Parallels on my M1 MacBook Pro. After a fresh Windows install, a fresh install of EQ (and direct X), I get the following error message when trying to play EQ: “The code execution cannot proceed because d3dx0.43.lll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I’ve tried reloading Direct X, and it doesn’t fix the problem. This feels like it might be an error that is specific to Windows 11 for ARM, but Im not sure. Any thoughts as to how to fix this? I’d like to work this out before the next TLPs launch in a few weeks. Thanks.
You need the latest version of DirectX 9 installed. Which I think is this https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
To help understand this - That is the 9C from 2010 that is sometimes needed for EQ - the latest version of Direct X will override that
