Necro AA: Lifeburn - DoT portion overwritten by other necros

    At some point harm touch was changed so that multiple SKs can harm touch the same mob and the DoT components don't overwrite each other. The necro Lifeburn ability still has this issue, where if two necros use Lifeburn, the second caster will overwrite the DoT from the first caster, which cuts out a lot of DPS from an ability we can only use once every 20 minutes.

    Can the devs look into fixing it such that the DoT component isn't overwritten?

    Please take a look at this and correct it please, lifeburn is more like harmtouch than it is manaburn and there's 0 reason a dot shouldnt stack with others same dots. As far as wizards saying it should be like manaburn, that's foolish considering manaburn applies a debuff so it makes sense not to stack manaburn debuffs, but, it makes 0 sense that lifeburns dot cannot stack with other dots.... you all fixed this for shadowknight harmtouch dot, please fix lifeburn dot for necros. Thank you!

    Agreed; please take a look - this should be treated no different than any other DoT stacking issue - there is no trouble with stacking any other lifetap-over-time spells, and the AA should be no different. There's no debuff component, so there's not that concern unlike Mana Burn as pointed out by others here. In general there's been a rule of thumb - debuffs do not stack, damage does. In this case, lifeburn is a pure damage effect, so it should by all the previous design decisions behave the same if we're going for consistency.

    Aside from the fact that there's not a debuff concern, it also doesn't make sense to advocate to create issues for a class just because you have a quality of life issue with yours. Advocate instead for better quality of life for Mana Burn rather than to try to get other classes to "suffer like I did / do".

    it would be cool if this could get adjusted so this ability stacked with other necro lifeburns the same way harm touch does tbh. thanks

    I see that it has a QA in progress label. How long do those usually take? Couple weeks?

    We will consider this feature request, but this is not a bug, it is working as intended.

    Both (HT, LB) have 20 minute timers. HT hits initially for 1.37M. LB for 300% of 75% of your HPs. If you have 500K HP, that's 3 x 375K = 1.125M HP, slightly less than HT.

    Then both DoT for 6 ticks, HT for 300K, LB for 325K.

    Once you add them up, they're almost identical damage, with identical timers.

    Frankly, if you're going to airdrop a dev comment saying "working as intended" without some explanation of why, it's a bit insulting to your userbase.

    That is simply unacceptable, there is no way this is working as intended since it is more like harm touch than it isnt. this needs fixed to stack, there isnt a dot that should not stack with the same dot of the same rank in this whole game. and to randomly drop a comment saying " working as intended" without any more information as to why harm touch dot stacks and lifeburn does not is absurd.
    please fix this as it has been requested and liked by multiple members of the community, and you all are failing us.
