I've never noticed this before so I was not sure as to if this is a bug or if it's working properly. I was on an alt with a cheap horse from the Baz. You know, the 10k horse. It was a druid with Flight of eagles and when on the mount the druid, even with flight of eagles, moved the base speed of the mount. Selo's didn't affect the mount speed either. Is that right? Are mounts suppose to have a fixed rate of speed and completely ignore movement speed buffs?
Thanks. I figured but it's been so long since I had a slow mount I wasn't sure. That cheap mount sure is a shocker.
it is pretty easy to get a fast mount from the casino .. just need either someone to give you the 5 or 6 items that are lore or have enough loyalty points to get the 6 or 7 items yourself then hand in 1 to 2 lottery tickets and you get one of the fastest mounts in game and once you activate that mount any mount you purchase or earn in game become as fast .. also you can get a nice DE illusion too .. if you find someone to loan you the 5 lore items you only need 1 or 2 tickets .. if not you'll have to get or (buy ) tickets from other players to get the 6 or 7 lore items forget how many there are but i dont think its more than 7 and thats including the DE mask and mount ..
And one fast mount in inventory makes every mount you have run at that faster speed. In Seru you have 5 chances to get a fast mount. Easy.
It's just a FTP druid I leveled for ports and track. I bought the cheapest mount to try out the class a little bit but it's not worth the investment.
There's 6 Tradeable items plus the DE Mask and Drum. This is usually one of the first things I do for new toons, hand them the 6 tradeable items grab 2 gold tickets and get the mount and mask. If you're a DE you will automatically get the Drum first so only need 1 gold ticket, at least I've never seen a DE get the mask before the drum. Usually most people get the Mask first so it takes the 2 tickets but I've seen the drum first before mask on non-DE toons.
The mount ignores your movement speed buffs because it's actually a separate NPC, just like auras. Mount buffs summon the NPC, they don't actually modify your run speed. You move as fast as the mount does. You can see this on Beta when devs repop a zone and it kills your mount, but you still have the mount buff on.
