Monk vs Zerk

and yet, me as a beastlord eat monks for breakfast dps wise, and can still do a lot more things as well.

I don't get it. I have a 125 BL, Rogue, Ranger, SK, Mage, Necro etc.. My BL is by far the lowest DPS of all of them. My rogue absolutely smokes him DPS wise, another world, even my ranger is WAY more dps. That's all with raid gear and top focus for pet. Hell my SK does more DPS, no question. Are people just talking a brief burn or something?

Raids or group? If you're rotating burns all the time on beast he should be pretty solid, if just auto attacking they're probably gonna get killed by most classes. Can't compete with assassinate and headshot, though.

If rangers are routinely beating you in dps, its not a class thing. Either they have vastly better gear, or the monk/zreker isn't using their abilities very well.

Rangers are great behind a mage pet thats what i do. Im leveling up a bst though so i can have mind buff for my ranger.

Well tbf most of that comment was true when he made it. Excluding monk adps it’s far from garbage. It’s just not true anymore lol.

I completely understand. I've been running on an outdated Verizon 4g hotspot for years.. it's no longer an option, so if my puck dies, I'm screwed. 5g "home internet" isn't an option, and Rural Fiber Internet won't be installed until March 2025.

And I count myself lucky, since half the street... on the wrong side of the creek... won't get fiber internet at all. [The creek is part of a federal watershed boundary, so they're on a completely different electrical grid.]

Monk: really good dps, but not the best. But is a grandmaster of pulling & splitting mobs. They make bard pulling look like trash.

Berserkers: Beat mobs to death. SERIOUSLY !@@!

100% agree. A pet is the bar. If a player tank is getting beaten by a pet, its not the pet thats at fault.

I would say stay as a beast. Your utility, aDPS and DPS potential exceeds that of zerk/monk.

There is quite a bit of misinformation regarding zerk/monk dps though. Often on our LS raids, they're pulling ~2m dps w/o optimized adps, sometimes more depending on the fight. The weapon boost helped them significantly, along with beasts.

Changes were made in recent months that changed a fair bit of that to be more of what you are seeing, but most of the posts pre-date those changes.

With all the changes to monk, have rogues received anything that would help them keep up?
