Mischief Server looks like it will be the best EQ TLP server ever

Maybe the majority, but only just barely. At any given point in the last four or five years, a significant portion of the TLP playerbase is playing post pop. I would not be surprised if five months from now, when Aradune and Rizlona are in Gates, if the post pop TLP's have more combined pop than this new server will, by a LOT. Mangler is holding its pop very well entering the level 75 expansions. Rizlona won't be touched by a truebox server, and has more raid guilds and players now than we had during classic-->velious with new guilds still forming. Aradune will take a hit from Mischief, but only time will tell how big a hit. There are going to be a whole lot of people playing post pop content prior to the next "normal" server being launched.

I mean, they put two servers on the calendar. I am confident they have a backup ready to go or some other "mischief" that will be announced between now and launch. Maybe, in keeping with the loot randomization, there are two servers and it randomizes which one you are logged in to on day 1.

The post pop TLP's combined pop is really going to pop.

It seems foolish to not plan for at least two servers to open up, maybe even three, with plans to merge them once the population dies down some.

Do you mean the quested sky haste belts, which are the best, and which are not one-drops, or something else?

There's still the issue of ZEMs across different zones of the same levels.

I think he refers to the 21% haste belts that drops "randomly" in Sky. Basically FBSS with stats, however, they are restricted to one class only.

There's no way they've implemented a functional queue system (e.g. one that lets you relog after a DC without waiting in the queue again) so a clone server is the only sensible option they have. I wonder how long it will take to establish which is 'the good server everyone likes' and which is 'the dead one'

Bots don't care that much about xp when they are making money. They level up, then farm.

Earlier tonight in the EQ discord, Dreamweaver said a second server is ready as a overflow and would be merged at a future point if it dies down enough.

I'd take a Kedge Robe for every Warhammer. A backbone for every Koshigatana. A Wizard Staff for every Bladestopper. Sounds great, actually. Killing Phinigel and getting 3 Warhammers of Divine Grace would be the ultimate Bristlebane move.

Psh.....warhammers are an upgrade from Phinny loot sometimes.

The thing is that it shouldn't be there in case there will be overflow. There 100% will be. The 2nd server should be available from the start to ease the strain from just one server.

Delaying it means the server will have major log in problems, people won't get to play when it opens, and people will be split between friends not wanting to re-roll on the new opened server.

Here comes a fun trading empire... I knew I saved those few hundred krono just in case a free trade server came along. Woot.

Weird thing I just realized went unmentioned in the announcement - no mention of MotM....

I assume they just stopped mentioning it since it's routinely assumed for TLP now? Not paid attention to the last few announcements.

Do we know if it's 100% random loot, or is it just a chance of getting another named mob's loot table?
