I’m souped for this. It sounds like fun. I for one don’t usually even 2 box. I do have a laptop to run side by side so I don’t understand the NEED for playing so many characters at one time.

A little bit of a exaggeration about logins. That would mean that for all of classic there were issues logging in. Maybe 2 weeks of issues at launch but after was pretty smooth sailing especially if you got on a little earlier. There are ALWAYS issues on launch of TLP but I thought they have a backup server this time for that?

If they choose to deploy it on time. If they wait until Day 2/3 many people won't want to move anymore as half their guild will be level 20+ already while the other half hasn't even been able to log in yet. All depends on what time you hit the queue. Those with full time jobs are usually screwed.

This is 1000000% my concern. Aradune was an absolute and utter Sh*tshow for almost 3 months for logins. This new server looks to be very, very popular already. Logins will be impossible and server crashes will be a constant as this server will be at peak capacity for months.

Eh...I spent at least a month and a half trying to to get on and had 2-8 hour queues and crashes, and boots and requeues if I switched characters.

That very well may be. I'm planning on playing on Mischief but I won't know if I like it until a couple months in. Plus Phinny will just have hit live and it's hard to get excited by CoV (or ToV for that matter).

The more I process this ruleset, the more i kinda like it lol.

Imagine getting stuck in Liveside guk because everything awesome on UD side is camped in all 125 picks of Guk today. So you get an HBC at EE spawn (just an example, i think EE and the MM mob are nearish level tho)
Imagine having to go to Cazic thule because no camps and getting Gebs from avatar of fear.
Imagine not poofing something no drop in PoT or giving it to a 3rd alt shammy when a core raider misses a raid. You can loot it and give it to him now!
Imagine the negative version of my examples someone is thinking of right now!

If it sucks go back to riz or mangler or where ever. Could be fun though.

This is 99% the likely outcome.

Selo was a special rulseset too, it still got stripped and dumped to a live server. Phinny will lose (already lost?) their AoC also. When Mischief reaches live it will no doubt get stripped and dumped into FV. Brekt proved they don't want/need 2 free trade live servers.

what do you mean by stripped? stripped of all characters? or all toons on server get items stripped?

I mean all the things that made it special, the fast exp, the half lock outs, the agents of change even Truebox. It went from a special rules TLP to a normal live server. Nothing was removed from the characters, although I think something to do with server transfers and overseer maybe? But no items or anything like that. I suspect Mischief will end up the same and the characters will simply get dumped into the only destination possible for a free trade TLP which is FV.,
