    Character: Level 116 Magician (Main)
    Zone: Crescent Reach
    Location: -1478.88, -1295.25, 12.46, 464.00

    Description:
On an account with over 1400 Overseer agents
    Open Overseer window (/overseer)
    Minimize Overseer window
    Close (minimized) Overseer window
    Open Overseer window (/overseer)

Notice the cpu spikes and the minimized Overseer window takes much much longer (>30 sec) to appear then the normal window. The game is non-responsive while this is happening.

The issue is 1400 agents, not directly the window. Convert them down to around 600-800.

I disagree in part. The minimized window is causing excessive cpu spike and whole game non-responsiveness compared to opening and closing the maximized window. The UI processing (possibly layout engine) is having a problem.

Yes the number of agents contributes, but I would expect it to be faster (no drawing refreshes) and not terribly slower. Whether this poor performance starts at 25 agents or 50 agents or 500 or 1000 is just a symptom.

In general beacuse of the UI engine, you don't ever want to play with any window minimized for whatever reason. Its fine if you just shrink the window as small as it can go, but this is a "standard" issue. Maybe background drawing will be fixed with the new UI engine.

Also if you leave Overseer opened and minimized, it has to fetch and re-load your agents every time you zone. Theres almost no reason to keep it open and minimized.

"Doc, it hurts when I move my arm."
"Well, stop moving your arm. Problem solved."

So what's the excuse for this happening with less than 500 agents?
  7. Soulbanshee Augur

Exactly, devs have acknowledged theres a memory leak on minimized windows, and not to minimize them. The engine is being replaced now anyway so its going to be a moot issue by the end of the year.
