This a thousand times. Just over three years ago when I decided to go with the caster aug, I also started to migrate the majority of my augs in favor of SD/DEX/AC combination. Quite a few of the beast community at that time didn't understand why and some just flat out said that it was stupid. What they didn't understand is that the combinations of augs/gear/H-stats/focuses/tribute/etc. that I mixed over the years was borderline obsessive. Some worked very well, and some were...you know....I'd get tells during raids like "Dude...da XXXX is wrong with you tonight?" Short story long: Never stop looking for that gem. There's always one hidden somewhere, especially with the amount of layering and code modifying that has happened over time in EQ.
