It doesn't matter, because there is no penalty for a merc getting the emote. Just makes it easier for real players when a merc gets the emote like 5 times in a row. But these missions should probably be coded not to call out mercs. Kinda surprised they weren't.
Ah, ok...didn't realize that. Still goes back to the idea that they should have coded out the mercs being targets of emotes.
Totally. I was under the impression that the mercs aren't penalized and thus don't count. Then did the achieve for a friend, with a merc, and wasn't granted the achieve =((
This is great that they coded it that way. It makes you need real people to do the achievement. It would almost be an exploit if you only got 3 real people and 3 mercs and did it that way to make it easy cause there would be only 50% chance anyone had to follow the emote. You wouldn't want the merc to follow the emote cause it would then make it extremely easy to get the achievement cause noone would have to watch for emotes if the merc never failed. But then you don't want to make it impossible to do the task with a merc either.
