I think he's talking about Sony's E3 conference. I would bet money that the Sony E3 presentation does not talk about connection problems for a MMO studio they sold off a year ago.
It's intentional and most likely an application layer attack, it's not a high traffic volume DDOS, essentially they found a crack in the armor to exploit, so they could go forever...or until the crack is fixed, or they could reset the servers for obvious reasons. Most companies just wait it out, eventually the perp. will get tracked (or his bot net will) and get shut down or blocked from communicating. Just a waiting game unfortunately.

Yea. Kids these days. What would have happened if he played EQ? almost 2 decades of just managing and dealing with broken items, quests, and zones. Sure we like to whine on the boards, but we don't go trying to ruin everything for everyone else cause 'ohhh, this one weapon keeps killing me waaaaaaa' I HATE to see what a kid like that would have done playing EQ in 1999 hahah, poor guy. oh oh oh hahah, put that kid on rallos zek in 1999 and have him work weeks to get a FBSS then lose it in pvp to item loot. Kid would be on a mission to hold the president hostage to get sony to give him back his fbss.
