There were servers with high pop. Seems like players are getting DCed now

Its not just EQ that is offline, other Daybreak games are offline also.

Didn't read the whole thread, so dunno if someone mentioned this, and I guess I just heard DB tweeted they are looking into it (read: calling the datacenter and asking WTF), but it feels exactly like a DDoS.

Based on our own limited insight into the problem, level3 itself might be having issues.

Tracerts to level3.net point to the same thing. Here is level3's outage map (third party information source)

If level 3 is getting hit or having issues, thats bad, mmkay. May not be a single thing DB can do about it.

I'm guessing this is yet another denial of service attack on EQ.

I don't think it's directed at EQ since the forums still work. Past DDoS attacks against eq usually took the forums down with the game.

I'm getting lag 400ms to 1400 ms in-game, but also lag for everything else.
