Loot rules: Bard epic item is spoken for, but all other items can be bought for platinum. At the end of the raid, the platinum spent will be split amongst each character in the raid. You can not pay with Krono, but a limited number of Krono may be sold for plate at the raid if needed. VP key items will be rolled in the raid, everyone that needs it does need for the key item. Min level req is 55, but level 60's will be preferred over lower level characters. Is the person getting the bard epic item paying a pre-set amount into the pot? Trak only drops 1 item, and a bunch of teeth.
Yes, the price is set to 10k for now, but we will try to keep it not to fare off from what a KR is currently going for.
Making a plat raid for one item is a waste of time. It seems more likely your friend needs the bard strings for epic but you can't do the fight so this is the option you came up with? 10k for the Bard strings, if you have 50 in the raid that's 200pp per person. Say you get a crap BP and are lucky enough to get another 10k off it, 400pp is a pretty bad payout for a cash raid.
What loot we get we will not know until the raid is done, apart from the the plate incentive of the raid, the keys for VP are also a big part of it. Why not have some fun and not always be navel centric and try getting some enjoyment out of the game in other ways like the rest of us? We are also doing this to get the ball rolling for later plate raids as well.
A real open plat raid would charge 100k for the bard gut if it's pre-purchased, and 5k for each tooth to put some meat on the bone for the people turning up to help make it happen.
To be honest, we hadn't considered it, but you have a point, we will check how people who show up feel about paying 5k per tooth. With these kinds of raids you need to balance the "cost" so that you do not price your self out of the market and no one show's up. After a few raids we will hopefully find a nice middle ground that will work for most people.
Based on my experience with Agnarr's plat raids, you are wrong here. The bulk of the people who showed up were coming for the split, some of them might have bid on items they wanted but that was just icing on the cake. Think of these raids as plat redistribution vehicles, rich players buy items, everyone stuff their bank accounts. If your trying this with Kunark raid content, it's better to plan for a longer outing and use several raid DZ. try to run Trak, VS, Sev, Talendor, Naggy, and Vox, this way you have a large pool of drops to offset bad drops and ensure a good split.
Thx for the tips, updated the event in a new thread since I could not edit this one: https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq...d-dragons-sunday-21st-of-july-at-4-pm.258775/
