I'm on FV and noticed my pet lvl 120, is dark blue to me. I conned it and it showed to be a 117 lvl pet. I got rid of both of my pets, pulled up my 117 pet and cast it, yep thats right....117. Got rid of it then cast my 120 pet spell and oddly still showed as a 117 pet. Any ideas?
Your pet lvl is going to be affected by your ear focus. For example, most current raiders will have a white con pet when they are casting the 117 pet. Also, just because the spell is 120 doesn't mean the pet will be 120.
Pets are tuned based on the expansion that they're part of, not based on the spell level. The level 117 pet spell summons a ToL warrior pet, while the level 120 pet spell summons a ToL rogue pet; they are intended to be alternatives to each other (rather than the 120 pet being an upgrade). Their stats and level are determined by what Enhanced Minion item you have equipped, and at any given EM rank they will be the same level.
