Ok, I never did get it, How the heck to do earn a higher loyalty velocity, I have max on my main account but have little more then half on my alt account.
  2. Raptorjesus5 Augur

Is your alt account silver? I think gold can have max velocity but silver is capped at like 2/3 or something around there.
  3. Stickietoes Augur

yeah, it was silver, then I promoted to gold yesterday. I figured that was the issue but since that bar was there before the free to play came out was kinda confused.

Loyalty Points are based on how long you have, and keeping, a paid account.
  5. Toquillaw Augur

Once you go to Gold sub, it increases a bit each week until you hit the max.

If you are silver you still get loyalty points up to a certain velocity, but you are also restricted as to what you can buy. (Can't buy bags of plat for example.)
  7. Geroblue Augur

I know. I was disappointed to learn that my one silver account, even if the character gets enough levels, cannot get a bag of plat. Except for stat food and drink, i seldom use it for anything else. So my silver and f2p accounts just get plat from my 3 paid accounts.

Free/Bronze caps out on velocity at 30.
Silver caps out on velocity at 60.
Gold caps out on velocity at 120.
Velocity gradually increases from 0 the longer you play. I am not sure if being inactive (ie not playing) for an extended period of time drops velocity or if once you reach your cap you stay their regardless.

On a side note, Loyalty caps at 5800 crowns (points); but you must be able to accept your full due velocity. For example if you are at 120 velocity and have 5700 crowns you will remain at 5800 crowns, but if you are at 5680 you will bump up to 5800. So if your crowns are higher than 5680 you will want to spend some or they will go to waste.

It doesn't cap at 5800 inclusive like you described. It capps at whatever you are when the next week will pass the cap. For example, I've had account stop gaining anything at 5720, 5740, 5760. Won't gain anymore.

I usually buy the Gold Ticket and resell that in bazaar. Can be a bit slow to sell, and the return isn't as good as a bag of plat but you aren't paying for that perk, so you get less and have to do a bit more work. I am fine with that alternative.

The other solution is to accumulate loyalty to maximum, then use your in-game plat to buy a Krono, turn it into a Gold account for a month, and then get a bunch of bags of plat. The funny thing is that doing this doesn't usually get you ahead of the game. It's nice to get a free bag of plat, but you also have the choice to spend a $18 for a Krono, and then sell that Krono for plat (most servers pay many times more for a Krono than you get for a bag of Plat).

What it comes down to is how much you get for free. Anything is good, in my books.

Too bad there isn't something I can use my silver and bronze loyaly points on besides buff food/drink. I don't have any traders on my silver nor bronze account. I guess I could set up one.

What does the Gold ticket do ?
  12. Toquillaw Augur

Gold Ticket is for random loot, with a few items people are looking for. They are lore, but people will buy them to turn them in. Price varies a lot but I usually get about 20k plat.
  13. Geroblue Augur

Turn them in to who ?

Sorry ... dumb question ... how can you tell how many loyalty points you have?
  15. Abazzagorath Augur

In shadowhaven there is a casino, is a guy upstairs from casino you hand them to. Look on alternate currency tab, and look at top for loyalty.

I have 3 accounts: 2 old ones that i played from 1999 until 2003 and used after that to play EQ2 and Vanguard. Payed accounts during the period of time i used them.
Both accounts have been played equally in time.

I returned to EQ a few months ago and started with a new created account: account #3.
After a few days i tried to recover my old accounts (#1 + 2) which i could and played them for a month on silver status. Upgraded to gold 2 months ago. Both accounts being played equally in time.
Account #3 has been neglected until a few weeks ago. Started playing that account as well, upgraded to silver.
Situation as per now: account #1 + 2 both gold, both all expansions, both played daily for about the same amount of time
Account #3 silver, only the free expansions, played occassionally, but at least 1-2 hours per week.

    Account 1 : 140 crowns + loads of claims
Account 2: 2390 crowns + hardly any claims
Account 3: 160 crowns. + normal amount of claims for a new, silver account.

Also the claims i have on those 3 accounts make no sense, seeing as them played as described above.

I really dont understand how accounts with the same age, same payed time and same amount of being played throughout the years can have such a difference in status.
And how i can earn more loyalty on an account (#3) that is not being payed for and hardy been played either, than for an account with a long history of payment + being played on daily basis.

I have sent tickets with a request to explain this to me, but all i got is the links to the loyalty and claim pages, which dont answer my questions either. So i gave up on that.

Would be good to hear the view of the community about this :) maybe someone can explain this to me better than CS can :)

In my experience, claims seem to be almost random. In theory, you get the claims for the expansions that you have actually paid for. It seems to me that sometimes you may get extra claim items for expansions that are either free to all (so, HoT and before), or for expansions in a gap that are bundled (so perhaps VoA if you bought RoF). I'd be interested if anyone has any light to shed on this.

Accounts 1 and 3 look as if they have 2-3 weeks of Silver crowns allocated to them (or no more than 1-2 weeks of Gold, which seems screwy). For account 2, is it possible that you logged on briefly roughly 40 weeks ago?

Get a Vicious Rabbit on each character, especially if you have RoF (to click from bag/hotbar). Can use this swarm pet every 5 minutes and he packs a punch. Good for all classes.

My guess on the loyalty of the 3 accounts is that at some time you logged in to account #2, which triggered the gathering of loyalty. Seems like some accounts don't start that until you log in after the loyalty system was added. Just a guess though.

The accounts havent been logged in -not even briefly- between me leaving the game and starting again in june 2013.

But when i wanted to reactivate the old accounts i had to retrieve the passwords because i couldnt remember them anymore. After i got them i found out that account 1 was banned. So i suspect that the account has been hacked in my absence.
SC was very good to me to give me the account back and indeed my characters were stripped.

So it is possible that the hacker logged the account in in that periode and activated the loyalty system that way. I think he had to use all the loyalty points for his benefit then as well to get the loyalty count back to 0. (Wonder if he had to pay for the account to activate, but cant find a payment record of that in my account). Maybe CS put the account back to new status when they gave it back to me, but i have asked them that question without getting a proper answer. Anyways, I assume that that would solve the question of account 1 being as it is.

I still dont understand why account 1 being gold for over 2 months and logged in every day lags behind the silver, almost never played account, regarding the gaining of crowns.
