Sorry if this has been asked already. I don't want to read through 10 pages of posts - are you guys resetting on the TLP when it starts?
  6. Tachyon Augur

LiP is moving on towards Anguish and beyond! Definitely the place to be if you want to progress through that part of Everquest. Awesome crew!

Currently exploring Anguish and starting on our Epic 2.0s. Now is a great time to join if you had previously left for that other game back in 2004. We have also been having fun with DoN dragons and have progressed up to Vish.

    Recruiting all classes - www.lostinprogression.com !

Hey, Isht! Grats on breaking into CoA to LiP! Hope you all kick in there and keep having fun :)

Tired of Rage-mis-Firing? Pay a visit to our peaceful piece of Norrath on the Trakanon sever.

Want to play progression but have a Free-to-Play account? Check out Trakanon!

All classes are welcome. Powerleveling services (or Necro services to lower your HC to level 70) are available for those that want them. We've loosened up our gear restrictions to allow for lower level Defiant to help those trying to level up quickly.

Currently working on Epic 2.0s, MPG Trials, and Citadel of Anguish. Also working on Dragons of Norrath progression (everything up to Vish is on farm status).

So if you need a break from dps-racing on the moss snake, stop by Trakanon and check us out. Send a tell to Keely, Isht, Blackcat, Nillax, Jark, Tseroth, or Eyre. Or just shout out in General and someone will send you our way!

Once upon a time there was a progression guild called Lost in Progression and there still is. They were dead set on doing progression in order starting with classic and moving forward based on a rule set designed to limit content to that era. Unfortunately some people had to break those rules and pre-farm in era gear because doing it legit takes too long. Most of these people were kicked or ended up quitting. After a year of being grieved by a certain someone they eventually made it to instanced content. Once instanced content started the grieving wasn't so bad anymore. Eventually it stopped all together once a new progression server was announced. Unfortunately there was a new evil brewing inside this guild that would take on another form.

This evil was dead set on becoming a force of control. More specifically they wanted to control the content that would be raided and decide the raid targets. They would make the decisions to what content the guild would raid and also lead some of these raids.

In gates of discord there is a long quest called breakdown in communications or bic. Most people have heard of this or have done it themselves multiple times. The chance of finishing this aug is almost impossible in era because of an event in the raid instance Inktuta which not many really wanted to do. After beating this event 1 time only 2 quest pieces dropped. At this time there where a total of about 10 people maybe more working on this quest. With this logic that would mean this event would have to be farmed at least another 5+ times. The problem was that most people were not interested in doing this event or farming this zone just so a select few more people could finish this long aug quest.

After a power struggle with officers and some class leaders in the guild they ended up losing a chunk of people that had a lot of influence in the guild. This would eventually deal a huge blow as the current leader would retire. The remaining class leaders would become the new officers and some new faces would emerge in the ranks of raid leaders and class leaders. These new leaders or officers were some of the people that wanted to finish their bic quest in era and would force the rest of the guild to raid this zone instead of just doing progression.

The chunk of people that left ended up starting another progression guild. They would start with the guild in Omens of War instead of Classic. They knew that people who wanted to do the bic quest would have to do it on their own time with out of era gear and toons. They were not interested in wasting peoples time just for one aug and instead focused on progression. This new guild has now accomplished more in a less amount of time.

Lost In Progression was and still is a pretty cool guild. Unfortunately being cool will not be enough with upcoming raid content. They continue to struggle to progress legit with low numbers and continue to change the rules in favor of keeping progression going instead of beating on a wall. They have skipped content to continue raiding as well as opened up gear restrictions to defiant. Specifically Zun in Txevu and the 2 hard MPG trials Endurance and Foresight. They field 20-30s with boxes. This will not be enough if progression is to continue, but somehow it must the guild can not die. They are also limited in recruitment as the server they choose to play on allows no transfers. This is a huge blow if progression is to continue as recruitment is a must for progression to keep going. At this rate any fight of difficulty will have to be skipped including entire expansions.

There is certain content in this game that is just not meant to be seen and has to be earned. This is not classic thru planes of power anymore. The time for easy mode social everquest has ended and the real progression begins. Only a handful of people can understand this concept as not everyone gets to see all progression. We only like classic through planes of power because even a monkey can stand in a corner and auto attack with no emotes. Old everquest is about being social sitting around chatting and making 10 alts. Raiding or Progression everquest is about farming gear and successfully navigating emotes. Now let that sink in for a minute. If you think just throwing numbers at content equals success you are about to learn the hard way its nothing close to that at all in instanced content. Ragefire is a new progression server, but its really a broken limited version of live. Keeping content on lockdown for the first 2 years is the goal of this server until instanced content begins. Some people think they deserve to get a shot at raid content without anyone contesting it. Some people just enjoy being a noob doing old content and not putting any effort into instanced raiding only playing old content for this reason.

Both of these guilds now are full of low numbers trying to accomplish the same goals. We must progress at any cost no matter what. That term implies a lot of gear farming. Killing the same stuff in era over and over until you just cant stand it anymore. Unfortunately Lost In Progression is limited to recruitment on a dead server without any transfers. There is only a hand full of people that want to continue this guild there. but it will not be enough. No matter how hard they try to recruit and progress, certain upcoming content will make sure they have no chance to progress with low numbers or certain classes. They will have to continue to open up more content using out of era aas, gear, and even more levels. Even then I doubt they would make progress when most of the people that are there now know nothing about the current content and read ZAM strats from 10 years ago. Instead of wasting everyone's time doing stuff hard mode with low numbers I would hope a compromise is met to continue progression for people that actually want to see upcoming content in Omens and beyond on a casual basis. Limiting yourself to one guild and trying to save a sinking ship is going to just waste peoples time. There is definitely a lot of interest in this content. If only they would all come together it would be so much more fun with full raids of people instead of half raids with boxes.

If your truly interested in seeing this content at 70 it would be in the best interest to merge these guilds or just join that other guild. This egotistical selfish garbage gets old and in the end these people that want the power and control end up quitting anyways. Raiding this content with low numbers is not fun. People get burned out and bored. This is why all new games are mostly solo content. Depending on someone else to log in to do something sucks. This is what makes progression difficult along with farming and knowing the strats to the content. If your going to continue to do content with low numbers be prepared to be severally disappointed! These bump posts just shows how desperate they are to recruit. Sometimes its just not worth the effort to do something that is a sure failure. Take it from someone that has experience with lvl 70 content in era. We shall see to which guild OMM and Vish fall first. That is just the first of many tests to come. There is no drama intended in this post only factual information. Until next time bros!

Boy that was a long story.

Keely is still the greatest. That is all.

Nice story storytimebro. What is it to you that LiP is struggling with low numbers? Sounds like you are a one of the deserters who departed, now trying to drag people over because your guild is struggling, good luck with that. Feel free to roll a new toon on Trak and app, as we are having a good time with our low numbers.

I guess if you like to just log in to do group-able content and chat that could be fun. I thought this was a raiding guild though. I wouldn't consider 3-4 groups with bots doing epic fights and aug runs a raid though. Usually in a progression guild you like kill bosses in the end zones and progress. Then you farm those bosses until can beat the next ones. The only difference being OMM and VISH are not pushovers like the rest of the stuff is. Usually you do it in order as well and don't just skip around content. You know like progression. Maybe I am new to this game and missed something.

    Greetings Storytimebros,

Do you have a toon in our guild? because we would truly like to help you find the exit so that you don't have to be troubled raiding with us, our "low numbers" or our no-drama policies that you like to ignore. Please let us know so we can help you find a better place beyond our 2 progression guilds.
  20. Storytimebros Elder

Eh? I don't play in these guilds. I just think its pretty funny that there is 2 guilds literally doing the same content. There is no drama here, only facts about the content itself.
