I don't know if it's EQ or just every computer I use, but it takes like several minutes to log a character into the game. I've tried a high end pc, with an ssd, 200mb cable connection etc., many different laptops at work home away and all take an annoyingly long time to go from login to my character actually in the game. I copy my EQ folder to other pcs, so maybe I have a bad config setting or file somewhere?? Just wanted to know if it's normal to take several minutes to log in one character. Took less time on my dial up connection years ago.
It all comes down to how quickly their network communicates with you. So if they have a delay on their end, it doesn't matter if you have a super computer, you'll still be waiting on them.
