Logging issue

    After the last patch, that increased the range in which spell data was logged, there has been widespread agreement that when logging in game (/log on) it causes 2-4 seconds of client freeze and/or lag after combat ends.


    I am hopeful this will be addressed in todays hotfix, but did not see it in the preliminary patch notes.

    This is also happening on Live Servers. I ended up reverting the changes that Microsoft reverted on Win10. I had to remake the exception to my EQ folder in Windows Defender. Once I did that, the lag disappeared.

    Thanks for the response Winnowyl. Lets hope there is a simpler fix for all of us that don't want to jump through similar hoops to get it working correctly again.

    I agree, I have the same freeze issue with logging to text.

    There isn't. It's a Windows problem not an EQ problem.
