We have had this option for a long time now to Load UI Skin and Copy Layout, however this really does not work well at all. If you have a toon using Default and you want to use your Custom skin, you would think you could just click on "Load UI Skin" and it would not only load the Skin but look for the layout ini file to use to use it with but the game doesn't work like that. You can load the UI skin, but it will only use the window locations that are coded within each XML file. Then supposedly, you can click on "Copy Layout" to use the same layout/window loc's and sizes from a toon that is already using that UI. But each time I attempt to use that feature, all the windows and such are all screwed up anyway, like the height/width of elements, etc. None of the tabs are there, filters to the chat windows are not all there, etc. I have always needed to, and still do, have to log out to desktop, copy the UI_xxx_xxx.ini file, rename it to the toon and reload EQ for anything to work correctly. Can this concept get revisited to actually be a useful option to load UI's and layouts without going threw any of this?
This will get closed as 'Not a bug'. Apparently, the fact that /copylayout does not copy the layout is working as intended.a
