Heya, i m a wizard lvl 70 on Phinigel (Depths of Darkhollow). In each expansion i always been FULL AA but for few time i feel i do much less critic than before. I have few question concerning critic. Do Ancient Spell use to do more critic than normal ? (I REALLY feel thats what happen but i havnt any confirmation on it) Do Evocation or Specialise Evocation can improve the chance of critic ? (I had a robe of pop with a Bonus Cap on Specialise Evocation. I have change it for a robe of raid content from Depths of Darkhollow with much more mana but i feel doing less critic since i have changed it) Do the Heroic Int Stat (or any esle stat) can improve the critic rate of spell ? I m close than 50 heroic int but i havnt done less critic than now.... Critic is what help Wiz to be good on parse and i don t understand why as i m always been full AA (with chance of critic improve) i do much less critic than before. Depending on your UI, ALT+F4 button combo may bring up a window that will show your passive crit rate. If that doesn't work, i would recommend downloading gamparse and parsing for a few days, it will show you how your crit rate.
Well any serious answere welcome... I really feel that Ancient Spell used to critic more often than normal...
You should have a 20% crit rate on all of your spells from GoD to TSS with max AA. If you have DoN progression you'll have 21%. Go parse it; it isn't something that you can substantiate with how you "feel."
Your passive and active AAs, as well as some other class abilities, are the only things that effect your crit rate. The AA parser at raidloot shows everything pretty accurately as far as I can tell. http://www.raidloot.com/AA.aspx?class=Wizard As best I can tell, there's nothing about the ancient line that would make it crit more often. Perhaps you were grouped more frequently with a class (such as a bard with his 2.0) that buffed your crit chance.
Crits dont go down far as I know except for DoN. did you do Dragons of Norrath progression your loose your AA if you starting doing the other faction so if you got the +1 to crit if you start the Dark side your reset that DON AA's to the other side it will reset the new side back to (1).
