Legendary Fragments?

Anyone seen any of these drop since the patch? I could be having a RNG battle but I haven't seen one in 4 hours. =/

Saw one drop in pillars last night. Friend was saying they were dropping less, but small sample size and buggy random number generator.

I vote they change Gnome Mountain to Alaran Mountain yet somehow keep in the Absor Only Gnome Hero's Forge

1% drop rate in VoA, 2% drop rate in RoF.

unless you are killing 1 mob every 10 second, you'll need a bigger sample to have an accurate idea.

where are you killing?

Spent 4 hours in city of bronze near the entrance to supelcher, then moved over to the Arena (where I normally would be) in Shard's landing.

As to the how fast are you killing. Here is just a small sample of it:

I dunno if it's changed.. normally I'd have 2-3 of them by that time, sometimes 4-8, rarely if ever only 1.

So roughly yeah, 10-20ish seconds a mob. Pulling as many as I can at a time.

ok reason I ask is this. When I was trying to finish mine, Arena WAS my spot of choice for random frag drops. When the xp hit on alarans there, and i mean just AA xp not tear xp. was nerfed some i also noticed the frags did not drop as frequently there.
I noticed and where I stood for drops other then tasks and you can go test it there too, the better drop ratio I found were the Alarans in the Valley near the Sarith zone line, same area people would do dailies as well. Check it out but I found it to be a better spot for drops then Arena.

Had 4 drop during my Pillars runs today. So yes, still dropping.

By your pillars run do you mean doing the 4 tasks that they drop as a bonus reward in? =P

pillars i would imagine would be tasks imo.

Been farming them in Shards Landing tonight. Only 1 drop in two hours. Not good.

Drop rate is way down compared to other times I have done it.

But I did notice a drastic increase in semi-rare zone wide gear drops in Shards for some reason. The last 2.5 hours I have looted about 8 pieces of gear but only 1 Fragment. Strange.

one day, you'll get 5 fragment within 30 minute, the next day you won't see anything for 4 hours.

1-2% drop rate. RNG.

pillar of alra task > grinding.

I thought the devs make xp nerfs to ensure we didn't do the same mission over and over and over.

The XP for those missions is complete garbage, they are not doing for anything besides the fragment reward at the end. But no its no fun doing the same thing over and over.

not doing the missions for xp your doing them for fragment drops.

it's no fun doing those pillar task, but it's fun ravaging shard's landing arena over and over?
if you are 101+, the XP gonna be awfull wether you are in pillar, valley, shard's or epicenter.

this thread is about maxing your tear... and the most efficient way to do that is to run the pillar task as often as you can.

Just stating fact the xp is garbage. Not sure why you felt the need to quote me and then reference doing shard's landing arena as I don't, really don't matter as that xp was nerfed if your 101+ anyway. your looking for the luck of the drop there.

Basically you have 2 choices run the tasks for 1 guaranteed frag or mass kill hoping for the same or better drop rate.

The key for me has been to change it up alot.
I'll clobber COB one day.
Slaughter Sepulcher the next.
Tackle pillars tasks the third day.
Annihilate the SL arena another time.
Maxxing the tear is going to take a ton of time no matter how you slice it, grinding it all in the same spot is boring to the 100000th power. Keep switching it up, and try to have fun.
My best run was killing in the record keeper room in COB I got 11 frags in about 2 hours. But then it went dry and I moved someplace else. There doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason, just RNG.
