Laurion's Song Beta and Expansion Pre-Orders

Hi all. Quick question about pre-orders. I've been on an ftp account and never bought any expansion. Does pre-ordering immediately open up the past two expansions or do we still have to wait until the official release date? Thanks for any help.

Full price of the more expensive version or minus the version you're already purchased? Ex. I am torn between the top two options but certainly don't want to buy the second most expensive then buy the first most at full price.

The upgrade cost is the difference in price, so not full price, just whatever additional you haven't paid.

wow 1 character can be all jobs - the deathknell for EQ. Things must be down bad on live.

You should have access to everything other than LS after purchase and restart of EQ. On live servers, you'll should the message "You own 29 of 29 expansions" on the server select screen. That would be everything up to NoS. Once LS goes live, that should change to 30 of 30.

I think your take is 100% wrong, I think it may help retention of players.

I have to disagree its a great thing to happen to the game.

It is literally stealing the class functionality from Final Fantasy XIV. I've played EQ since beta. I also did beta for FFXIV. While i thoroughly enjoyed FFXIV, i stopped playing it altogether. Yet, still tool around with EQ. That kind of feature isn't innate to EQ. this isn't a good thing.This isn't going to breathe new life into the game. The allowance of Multi-boxing/botting has seen to the futility of this endeavor. Sure, there are a few people like me who do not bother with multi-boxing/botting, but this playstyle change isn't going to assist in anything. It's ridiculously easy to level. So that's not a viable excuse. Names shortage? While not a great excuse to implement class change feature, how about go through and cull the names of characters on accounts which haven't been accessed in a decade or more. that'll free up names for those who still play. Would this feature open class/race combinations: Gnome monks, Iksar illusionists, Troll paladins, etc?

This feature has nothing to do with name availability, rather it is about being about to create other classes without having to do everything from scratch as you carry over some things from your main character.

Nonsense.

EverQuest gameplay is 100% unaffected by this feature, all it does is allow you play all the classes on one character - that changes nothing about how each of those classes play, how groups or raids work.

It saves a player having to do backflagging and tradeskill grinding on a bunch of alts which is an enormous timesaver, and all it really means after that is not having to go to the character select screen to swap to an alt.

It's a functional change for the better for any player who was put off trying another class by the fear of having to redo a whole ton of backflagging & achievement grinding.

One of my accounts that is supposed to be flagged for beta will not pull up the beta server in the server selection screen. It is this way on both my PC, where the other 2 accounts show up fine on either of the PCs. I did clear the launchpad.cache, nothing happened. I removed beta from my pc, restarted my PC, and the did a fresh install. This had no change in finding the beta server on that account.
