My husband and I were getting the following error for a few days "Launchpad was unable to connect. Please check the network connection or try again later. If the problem persists, please visit hpps://help.daybreakgames.com for assistance." After doing everything listed in the knowledge database, he tried turning off "Real-Time Scanning" in McAfee and the Launchpad worked. This is re-creatable when "Real-Time Scanning" kicks the Launchpad returns this error message. This is somewhat sad. I'm posting since other people were reporting problems with the Launchpad.
That is good information, thanks. I too use McAfee and intermittently get the same error. When it happens too many times in a row, I launch the game using a shortcut with "eqgame.exe patchme" instead of "LaunchPad.exe".
