Hi, so I am a returning player. I downloaded DirectX and the game to my laptop and had no problems starting up. However, when I login, the various information boxes on the screen, my inventory window, the chat window, all of them, are tiny. I have tried changing video modes both in the game and in Windows, but can't get them to change to a "normal" size. As is the game isn't playable on the laptop. Any ideas?
If it's 4k unfortunately it will remain small unless you make different files in the UI folder to override the default ones. What you can do is change the game to 1920x1080 and that should correct the problem.
EQInterface has some 4k UI elements made by Janakin that help out. If you download those make a custom UI folder in your ui folder you can select that in game and any elements in it will override the default ones. Don't download the chat window element it got broken a few updates ago.
