Was able to get the task on my 107 cleric but it will not let me get on my 107 magician. The way i understand the rules for that task is you have to be 85. The only difference between the two toons is the magician was a heroic toon. I put in a petition but told it was a bug and to /bug it. I did that but have got no other advice.
I could have sworn the J5 merc quest was already in my heroic toon's task window. Might want to check there since you cannot get the same quest twice and if you already have one it will not let you get it. Plus you do have to be all access for J5 mercs - Heroic or not.
What cat said. The quest is either already assigned or you did it and forgot. Either way the quest log should tell.
This is, i am afraid, an example on people giving up too early/not examine things themselves before giving up.
