Hey look a tlp reroller that lives on the game upset there is nothing to do in classic style eq with no aa's lol.

You legitimately named a single item. Yunnb's earring. An item which also just so happens to be so uncommon on a typical TLP (more common on the loot pinata server) that a majority of the server rarely even raided. I'd argue that a FT/randomized loot server affected targetted raiding for that earring more than tower gear because the former made it an actual viable target item to acquire. If not for randomized loot, that earring wouldn't even be a blip on most people's radar with tower being around.

If anyone isn't bidding on Shroud of Veeshan they are legitimately a garbage tier player as the second Luclin launches it immediately becomes one of the top healing focus items in the game. Is your guilld filled with "big mana go brrr" type of people and lack any understanding of the game mechanics beyond health and mana stat?

Most tower gear replaces the BIS group gear as Kunark itemization was beyond laughable.

Please no, I still have tons of Classic/Kunark things to do.

Anyone who poopsocked Teek at release is advised to either raid log or save a krono or two and take a break until Velious hits. It's the natural result of the tower gear and long Kunark period. Go play some elden Ring or WoW SoD phase 4.

Live EQ is in the same state where the game is so trivial that virtually all preparation for a new expansion release confers a minimal benefit. All trophies in EQ are participation trophies and most EQ players prefer that. Those that don't have mostly moved away from the game.

Personally I'd only play on a "hard-mode" TLP server, not a "challenge" one like Quarm or Vaniki, just one with rules that make the core game more challenging and less watered down. Something like:

• 4x respawn time in most classic/kunark/velious dungeons
• 2x respawn time in other areas of classic/kunark/velious
• *Something* that makes the mobs you generally fight harder ex:
  • Delaying the level cap / AA increase such that players will generally complete content against mobs tuned for higher level players, while also reducing the req/rec levels for gear so you can use what you loot
  • Global buffs to the mobs (Bonus points if these are semi-random ala Path of Exile maps)

That tower gear is going to be BiS until probably just after PoP. Especially since the gear is now starting to get additional effects instead of just being a stat stick.

I do play, and I am thoroughly enjoying Teek. I'm not anywhere near done with everything I want to do.

The tower made the game better for me because it gave me something else to chase. I decided long before this server opened that I wasn't going to raid until Velious, and that didn't have anything to do with the tower gear, but with the fact that outside of epic items and a couple of drops nothing in Kunark is worth raiding. And those handful of items were so rare, even on a random loot TLP, that they weren't worth the hours and hours of raiding to build up my DKP when chances are I still wouldn't ever get the items because they wouldn't drop.

With the tower I have something to work for that will provide me with upgrades. I have been completing the tower rooms as I go and they have presented a real challenge. Raiding drops in kunark, even on Teek, are so scant as to be pointless. Completing the tower is a more enjoyable activity than raiding. That is how it improved the game for me.

Do people not realize that there are 0 helmets, bps, pants, bracers, sleeves, boots, gloves, weapons, ranged, haste, or instruments from the tower? there's still plenty of stuff to get from kunark raids.

The tower gear is great. We do not need Velious earlier than we are already getting it. Dont punish players who didnt power through stuff like you did. It is your own fault for being maxed out and bored already.

Don't forget they now can't get their easy krono farm going using their stupidly unbalanced and OP classes to farm (necros, mages, encs)

Tbh raiding in early EQ is kinda trash and I'm mostly over it at this point. I'm happy to just have some ez gear and do group/small man content with buddies. I'd probably quit EQ for good before I jump back on the zerg raid guild treadmill every TLP

If you rushed to 60 already less than a month into the server, that's a you issue.

Lol. The economy on Teek is hilarious. Everything basically sells for 100-500 plat or 1 to 2 krono.
Sure, a few items will be outliers at 1000 plat or 3+ krono, but the majority of items are locked into the former price ranges.

Mischief Ruleset + TLP Auctions + Tower Gear + High Population = Prices are at rock bottom prices.

Buyer: "I will buy X item for X plat"
Seller: "No thank you."
Buyer: "TLP Auctions shows X price"
Seller: "GRR"

It's time to head back to Vaniki and wait for a Selo 2.0 or Oakwynd 2.0 where I can plant my roots for awhile.

Actually i didn't want infinite easy loot which is why i have been opposed to tower gear from the start lol.
