It would be useful if we could add notes in the FRIENDS Window

I'm curious if anybody else thinks this is a good idea.

Yes, we have asked for it many times in the past.

Or you add friends to /notes ;)

I have notes in the same folder at my desk that I used to keep my printed maps in. Lists of acquaintances, old friends, frenemies, guildies, others' spouses, baby mamas, etc etc. An in-game place to put notes with names would be great! Maybe a spot to upload a pic of them too! And an active link to their SnapChat! Don't worry about Dx11 not working or the uselessly borked new UI. We need more lists! But only if the lists will carry over to all my personas for less than $9.99 each.

I was thinking more like how the guild window allows notes.

Actually the Friends window could be redesigned just like the Guild window, they have many things in common. You could then easily see what friends are online, what level they are, in what zone ...

Wouldn't happen, would be used for nefarious concerns, they took out the exploit where you could see hidden character information through the in-game petition.

Could it also include a rating system for friends?

Only if you could decline having someone add you as a "friend" and could otherwise block someone from having you as a friend. Otherwise, it could be abused to stalk someone.

It is a very important aspect of the game that only got updated once in 25 years and the window is not much better than the slash command. The zone should only show up when the PC is not anon.

Here my documented suggestion regarding the friend window. I made a few more but those are lost in the forums maze.

You can find out if your friends are online with the "/who all friends" command. You don't get the details if they are anon, but you'll know if they're on. It'd be nice if the friends window had the same info as the /who command.

I would say that would require 3 things first:
    1. the ability to decline someone adding you to the friends list
    2. knowing who has you on their friends list
    3. The ability to remove yourself from someone's friends list

Otherwise this just opens things up for creepy behavior. Anon and ignore were easy fixes for that. Breaking them is asking for trouble.

The friends window could have the same limitations as the "/who all friends" command. If you run the /who command and some of your friends are anon, all you'll see is that they're on. You won't see their level or zone. Having it in the friends window is just a convenience over typing the /who command. But given the amount of work it would take to add it to the friends window, I can't see them really making the effort to improve it. If you want to know if anyone in your friends list is on, the "/who all friends" is likely to be the only way to do that.
