    We are upgrading our forums!

    It is time for us to upgrade our forums to the latest iteration. There is so much history and knowledge in these forums that we do not want it to be lost. The good news is that all your posts will be moving over to the new forums with you! The only thing you will need to do is to venture over, log in, and start posting!

    While we can move almost everything, there will be some things that cannot be moved. One such thing is Private Messages, and another is Trophies. We will be keeping the old forums up for a while for those who wish to grab details and information from their Private Messages.

    Upgrading was a necessity, as these forums are antiquated and no longer supported for updates. The forum we are moving to is new and shiny and will be supported for all security updates and fancy new things coming up. We will have more options, which will allow us to do things these forums restrict, such as adding a Dislike button, allowing staff to create polls, and much more!

    The date for the forum changeover will be Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. PDT and will take approximately 12 hours to complete (there is a lot of data to move and check!). The new forums can be found at https://forums.everquest.com

    NOTE: These forums will be locked while we work on the transition to our new forums. Please keep an eye on Discord and our social media channels for when the move is complete!

    I'm also guessing there is no way to retain my 16 pages of Watched Threads list?

    No to the exporting of PM's. You can open them one by one and Save As > HMTL. That's a lot of saves though.

    Watched threads is likely one of the backend things which cannot be moved.

    Why is there a Suggestions & Feedback forum (with sub forums apparently) and a separate Class Skill Suggestions forum (with again sub forums)?

    Or did they already have a split and it's just a mirror of what existed before?

    If that is the best we can get, then yes, I'm all for it.

    I would greatly prefer an actual bug tracking / suggestion tracking software instead. That has the ability to easily search and comment and even upvote stuff. This exists and there are even free versions.

    But I'll take what I can get and suggestion forum is better than not having one.

    I agree with you 100% that dislike buttons are a bad idea. It is ripe for abuse and a step backwards from encouraging positive and meaningful interactions with users.

    I think many people would use abuse it as a "downvote button" as that is what we have been used to using in the past to show dislike on Reddit, YouTube, etc., and some just want to have as much of a negative impact on someone as they can... so ALL the posts by someone gets disliked, etc.
