Issue buying Krono from DB store.

When I try, it now says I have to do a 2 form verification.. giving my phone info. I have never had to give my phone info before.

How can we buy Krono now? I don't want to give you my phone info. Now we have to give phone info for a krono purchase?
Where is this Authenticator.. is it long gone? why is that an option?
Have you folks thought this out ?

With EQ being a worldwide game, does the authentication system work with phone numbers from around the world?

I can understand the need for better security with Krono purchases, but one effect may be a shift to sketchier ways to get Krono.

One alternative would be for them to integrate with external authenticator systems, like Google Authenticator. These are authenticator systems like the Daybreak Authenticator, but they don't require separate hardware. The use your phone to create the authentication number. It would be a way to have 2FA without having to give up your phone number.

It does not work in Canada, their customer service even confirmed it - no workaround either...

And based on what is said above... basically that means you cannot buy a krono from Canada anymore? ... what?

This is losing them money from Krono sales and actively encourages buying krono from 3rd parties since it is now impossible otherwise outside of the US. You'd think it would be a top priority but apparently not.
