Is it possible to Molo as a 110 mage to 125?

I do not want to box, that being said i am looking at the new expansion, last time i was leveling 110 was the cap. my question is how many locations would it be possible to Merc Solo with a T5 healer and my pet?

its not impossible. if your into a grind and have a recent em item maybe stay 1-2 expansions behind. you could get 5%? xp a day maybe more depending on play time. then add in overseer for another 5-10%. there are some tasks you can do for added xp/aa. when I'm soloing whether it be bst necro mage sk I usually stick with light blue mobs. i can kill faster and pets can handle 2-3 mobs at a time. others will probably have better advice but this is just me. with just overseer it would probably take around 5ish months add in grinding a few % a day and you could maybe take that down to 4ish months. yes its a long time but its the problem with soloing. also if your in a decent guild people usually have free ta that will give xp aa or whatever that will help you on the journey. keep up on your pet and dmg aa's also dont forget about the type 3 augs that will really help with faster kills which means faster xp.

my guess is yes , i got a mage pet as my main tank and he can tank the mobs pretty easy,
i got a good EM earring tho .
be sure to always have * iceflame buff on pet https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=57007
    and burnout .
aa's help a lot as well on how your pet can tank and hopefully a decent EM earring.

would be slow leveling , don't forget to use overseer ( once maxed it is about 10 to 15 % XP per day ) if you doing it everyday .

you can get high level buffs as well , best mage ds is a good free damage , shm and clr buffs heal as well , good luck and have fun.

what is the server you are playing ?.

If you don't mind the ramblings this what it would like molo,

However that person is a necro, necros are better than mages pet wise, so won't do as good as this player but, its doable.

They got 522k hp, that person is more on the extremely good gear side.
Believe me there is people 125 with 235k HP, and less, and those will curb stomped.

Can take years to go from 235k hp to 522k hp if moloing, just a heads up.

There are some "weak" mobs in LS, you can definitely molo it as a mage at lvl 115+ (I have done it with my f2p mage as a test). Perhaps, it can be done even at 110.
Although, it's a sad and lonely game to just grind those "weak" mobs.

    Thanks guys for the info

Yeah i play about 12 hours a day, tough to find a grouping partner for that much play time, but i am mostly a lone wolf these days with people. Ill have to do some research on the zones, but hopefully it wont get too frustrating

Then box. Get yourself a bard and druid/ranger/shaman/enchanter boxes. Those are low-maintenance easy-box classes. Your group capability with go up quite alot and you'll be able to play in more difficult zones/camps. Even f2p adps classes will give your mage a sizable boost.

ToV/CoV was scaled a bit high, so expect to whooped, 1 rounded actually.
Check your HME, is it 310k or higher? If not expected to get whooped swiftly from any mistakes.
Once you get to 120, the game starts to even out and smooth out again, 110-115 idk what people were thinking. Actually from TBL which is 110 to 115.

Recommend toughing it out in RoS.
Rely on a lot of overseer.

btw that necro is pretty good, took him like 10-11mins to kill.
Usually its around 15mins or more, and get unlucky once its over, its a wrap.
15 mins or means they hurting more, you doing less, they higher lucky rounds on you too.

A lot will depend on your pet. Personally I'd go for the level increase expansions these tend to be easier than those without a level increase.

110 I'd hit GMM, then try the early zones in TOV, these weren't that bad.
115 in ToL should be doable (ME & UP), LS zones are pretty easy also maybe doable at 120 molo

Don't forget overseer and try and pick up the quests for the bonus exp/AA. Make sure you give your pet toys to make them stronger.

Whoa, hold your horses, pal. Where in the world did you get that idea? Mages are the pet kings, period. Earth, Water and Air pets will eat your necro pets for breakfast. The gargoyle swarm pet is better than the flimsy skeletons too. DPS burns are also better on a mage, which is what most of your solo fights will be.

To be honest, I'm not even sure necro pets are better than BST pets. Necros might be in last place.

I think level increase expansions give better xp for progression.

On what planet are necro pets better than mage pets? Not only do mages have the absolute best normal pets in the game, by a significant margin, they also get the giant mage swarm pet cloud of doom each of which is as good or better than the summoned permanent pet.

Don't get triggered by that BrokenGPTuberBot. It's been broken for far too long to recover.

At this point you need two necros.

So are you a mage, casual? Can you do that fight molo?

    Also reminder,
T1 raids beaten within 10-15 minutes all fights.
That video of necro moloing 552k HP pretty beefy casual. 10-12 minute just to kill a named.
Raiders come back from quick raid fights, got 8 pieces of loot, RAID loot, your still fighting that named, wheres the popcorn.

    Casual content,

Suppose its ok, because its T2, but this person, they was able to more previously.

Raids get quicker and quicker-----easier----easy----get ready for raid night--20mins were done with everything
    Group content--------------------------difficult-moredifficult
5 min fight, now its 12 min fight

Anyways this youtuber, is pretty much whats possible as molo. Not being a raider too.
552k HP, thats good good. 12 mins.
So if your like 325, its probably a 20 min fight and there will be a lot of close calls. 100% to 30%. Panic!

Since when is a necro pet better than a mage pet?? The reason nec are better solo is because the amount of dot's they can put on a mob plus the fact they got FD.

Yes, it's possible. I moloed a lot till half way through the TOV. I saw the direction EQ was going so I started to box. Now I have a team of 5 and love it.

As for moloing. At 110 molo in ROS, EOK, GMM and the tier 1 zones in TOV. If you can get the Wishing Lamp for TBL that expansion is a lot of fun and can be challenging. In ROS head to the Howling Stones, zone in and drop into the pit. I used to love moloing there. Do some of the progression in the expansions I mentioned, enjoy them, don't be in such a hurry to level to 125, there's a lot to see.

When you're doing the level 111-115 content TOV is the place to go. The Eastern Wastes, Crystal Caverns and the Great Divide are excellent places to go for your first spot on your journey to 115. There's good molo spots in all 3 of those zones. In CC my favorite molo spot was the Tentacle Terrors area. You can single pull all of them, but 1 spot. That spot you'll always get 2 and sometimes 3 if you don't kill in the proper order. After that my favorite molo spot was in Kael. I found that zone a fun challenge.

COV isn't the most friendly molo expansion, but there are places to go if you want. Cobalt Scar the Western Wastes have some content you can molo. Watch out for the named mobs, they can be a challenge. Especially if your EM is lacking.

Now we get to TOV. Maidens Eye and Umbral Planes would be good for molo. Get used to those zones, you may be spending a lot of time there. Ka Vethan has a good spot. When you zone in, you'll see a bunch of Tegi lined up going down the hallway. You can single pull all of them, they're considered weak mobs so they're not that tough. You just have to watch out for a wandering shade.

With the last 2 expansions as a molo mage, (unless you get a RAID EM) you'll want to stick to the tier 1 zones. With the hit points the mobs have in those expansions expect long fights. Tier 2 zones just won't be much fun molo for the long haul.

    Good luck and mage on.
