Just bought my first 144hz monitor, made sure I set the new refresh rate via Windows settings and still when I run fraps it never goes over 60fps? Is it capped here? Tried the different programs that supposedly "lock" in the refresh rate you monitor gives but always 60 in game....which is not bad at all, i 6 box and all 6 get 60fps so im not complaining really but is it possible to get over 60fps? Ive even tried just loading one instance of EQ and still not going over 60. Feels like it's something simple I'm not aware of.
There is an option in the video panel of the options menu to set foreground/background maximum FPS limits. I would check there and see if it's set to 60.
I originally had both at unlimited so that wasn't it, went back and changed to 149 and all kind of other variables...no luck. By your responses I'm assuming that 60+ is possible. Thank you.
