If DBG wanted to make money...

They would simply switch the unlock timers. We know that "the hardcore" are going to play on the server that has the quickest unlocks. They are going to rush leveling no matter what the xp is and they are going to buy xp pots to do it. Whether that takes 1 day or 3 to get to max level is irrelevant. Put the xp pot cash grab on the hardcore server (the one with the quick unlocks), which also has the crummy xp. DBG will make a bunch of money and maybe we can get an actual casual server.

If they really wanted to make money they would make Mangler a Velious/Luclin locked server with unlocks close to the original releases.

They would only do this if they want to make 1-8 money.

If they want to make hundreds of thousands of money then they should make a 10 week unlock, FV rules, truebox, selo's experience rate server that starts in classic.

If daybreak had a dollar for every unnecessary new thread, they'd be able to afford personal servers for every guild.

No one's gonna play on a server that has the XP rate proposed for Mangler and one month unlocks. No one. The "hardcore" players wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole.

I always thought a cash cow for them would be to let players spawn private picks or "buy out" the cooldown timers using krono as a currency. I hope they don't do this though, because they'd probably take out all regular picks just to make us pay for the spawns.
