I would like to see a Selo 2.0 server, please and thank you.

    Selo 1.0 = 4 weeks per expansion/Started in Luclin
    Selo 2.0 = 5 weeks per expansion/Starts in Classic

Do you hate tower gear? It won't be useful for very long on a Selo server.
Do you hate OOC regen? You'll like it on here.
Do you hate power levelers? They will be confined to the Deep very quickly, and level 50 heroic characters will be in the game.
Do you hate seeing items with awesome focus effects that cannot be used in classic? The focus effects will come into play shortly.
Do you hate bot crews who hog good camps? They will lose out on a lot of krono if they stay behind and camp previous era items.
Do you hate starting in Classic? You won't be in Classic for very long.
Do you hate the leveling grind? You'll be max level before you know it with increased XP rates.
Do you hate being confined to true boxing? True boxing will be removed in half a year.
Do you hate TLP's, but Live is too confusing for you to enjoy? You'll get a nice quick briefing every expansion, so you can continue your journey on Live servers.

Selo was a financial failure, there won't be another one. Play on a live server, it solves every issue you mentioned. "Live is too confusing for you to enjoy?" Join a guild. You'll get all the help you need. Or, you can just read the new players forum. :)

Which rulesets will next year TLP's have?

    It won't be Mischief/Teek.
    It won't be Miragul.
    It won't be Tormax/Standard.
It most likely won't be Oakwynd.
    It could be another Vaniki.

Selo is due for a remake.

The only negative issue that I ever heard about the Selo server was the expansion unlock speed. Players wanted an extra week or two per expansion in order to complete everything.

Selo's is literally meant to be fast. Folks didn't like it, there won't be another one coming back.
You're better off joining the 4 players chanting for a PVP TLP.

We're getting another Selo type server next year or the year afterwards. A lot of players want a TLP with shorter unlock times and faster XP rates. A more relaxed version of Selo's fits the bill.

You do not count as "a lot of". The only reason Teekaholics are making alts is due to limited content right now. In 3 weeks that changes drastically.

I've seen more players quit TLPs due to long expansion unlocks than any other reason. Stop dirtying up my thread with your junk theories. I have talked to enough players in-game and in discord to know that longer unlock times are an issue.

Selo with full lockouts but double the loot (that selo had) would be good. Selo also had some flagging issues later, but I believe some, but not all, have been addressed. Free trade would make a selo 2.0 fairly popular, the xp rate on standard servers is atrocious.

Players burned out at that speed and quit the server right and left. There were less than 50 people left on the server when it merged (barely enougn to support one guild). No players = no company revenue = financial failure, like I said.

There is no guarantee there will be a new TLP next year. There is no commitment until next year's roadmap comes out. Given how far behind they are in important development cycles, I can easily see them skip a year.

The only thing keeping this company afloat is the profit they make on TLP servers. There will for sure be a new TLP server this next year. Their best bet is to switch to a 2 year expansion release instead of annually as that takes 90% of their dev costs and probably doesn't even make them 50% of their profit.

People say Selo was too fast but like 90% of the people I know on Teek are raidlogging or quit til Velious. In my eyes it's painfully obvious that the current standard unlock schedule is too slow. I think 5 weeks would be pretty good cadence personally and I'm not even a very hardcore player these days.

Imagine a Selo 2.0 at 2 weeks, reaching live just before the next TLP launch.

    Zoom zoom.

Still, a year's commitment feels more like marathon than sprint.

Tormax was too successful so they'll have to do pvp

I bounced off teek mostly because of the exp rate. It feels fine up to 30 or so, but just takes a freekin nosedive after that.

I 4 box sk, monk, dru, enc. So not exactly a perfect setup, but you shouldn't need a perfect comp to get exp at a tolerable rate.

I probably won't come back until we get a mischief+selos mashup. Or a mischief with +75% or more exp from the current rate. The 4th of july bonus week felt really nice, I actually made some good steady progress that week.

I'd like Oakwynd without FTE, maybe with a slightly accelerated timeline, 8 wks/6 wks instead of 12 wks/8 wks for level/non-level increases and merge DoDH/PoR. I'm sick of F/T and loot inflation, better to move on to the next xpac than raid for the sake of raiding.

How exactly does that drastically change at that time? Be specific with all the content to do for the time people are making and playing alts. Actual things worth doing because otherwise we can name a nearly infinite list of things they could do right now in Kunark as well.

Selos might be a bit fast (and definitely should be extra loot, not shorter DZ lockouts), but need at least to make the Vaniki unlocks the standard. A server lasting 7 years is just too long if it’s not not intentionally locked in some era.

I can't really see them doing another Vaniki. They killed that server when they made the currency reward only claimable on Vaniki.

Some folks still go back there for some of the novelty items, and because it's fun to not have Level Requirement on weapons, but the overall initially advertised purpose of the server was nerfed last year.

    Server name: Freedom
    Starts in LuckLand(Luclin)
Mischief+vaniki+Oakwynd(Heirloom no-drop but NO FTE) loot rules.
    Selos exp rate or higher.
    No raid lockouts(Yes, I'm serious)
No boxing or limit it to 1 box max.
1 month unlocks on no level increase, 2 months on level increase.

The sprinkles on the cake? Maybe we discuss the pros/cons of making it Team based PVP like Vallon Zek was on top of all that ^ I think it would be fun to try :p

Let me transfer my cosmetics+mounts from mischief to the new server and I'm all in.
