How can we reliably sell high value items?

Just sell things or buy things at a reasonable price and it will al work out.
Anyone who is hoping to make real money, I really hope the game never caters to them.

Then people just exclusively use valuable items (i.e. krono) in place of plat for trading purposes and the economy becomes that much more inaccessible to players who don't actively follow the market.
  3. CatsPaws Just getting rid of the old

There is a cap on plat.

If you make the mistake of accumulating over 1,000,000,000 plats on a character, any time you try to access the plats to trade to another character, it results in an automatic disconnect from the server. Thus you can't access your plats

The solution is (per Ngreth) is
You can free yourself by buying a Noble which will bring you under the 1b limit. (it is an actual game limit)

So its not only a plat but a pound limit

Reasonable prices can be above 2 million plat.
Svann2, Nennius and Fenthen like this.

Yeah, running away from the homework is not a solution. Get your things done Daybreak, until they are done. To many broken, forgotten and unfinished "features" are around and most of them since many years. Especially on the graphical and UI side.

Well, that's just it. The "reasonable" price at which people are willing to pay, is greater than the coded technological limit using the bazaar tool. Hence, why there is a problem that keeps getting posted to the forums.

The real solution is the scrap the bazaar entirely and create an auction house system.
  7. Waring_McMarrin Augur

That would likely have the exact same problems as the issue is prices are stored in copper in the backend and that likely will be the same in an auction house system.

I'd like to think the devs are smarter than you give them credit for. If a new zone was created with new rules for trading between players, I am pretty sure the devs can come up with an easy workaround to these old coding issues. I cannot imagine why it would be necessary to tie in NPC restrictions to make players have these same restrictions. Just start from scratch and code the new bazaar so that players can transfer items like they can already do manually - but help automate the process so it can be done offline.

Maybe they can, maybe they can't. I don't think it would be very unlikely that anything that sells items in the game uses the same merchant code it could easily run into the same problem as the current system. Could they make new code for that? Maybe but it could also be a massive lift to do it.

Does Ngreth and crew work through APIs, actual code, or a combination of both?
  11. Waring_McMarrin Augur

How exactly would they be working through API's?
  12. Tarvas Redwall of Coirnav, now Drinal

Wrong word. I was drunk. Development tools.

Does a whip count as a dev tool ? Ngreth is an ogre...
