Good sources of light, that can work from your inventory? (Gloomingdeep Lantern)

Realized long after I already destroyed my Gloomingdeep Lantern that it's actually a great lightsource that works from the inventory and not just ranged slot..

Not that it's a big deal or hard to see, but I like things that like that provide light at night.. just a fun aesthetic to have. Like my Fallout 4 games are all flooded with neon lights and night is my favorite time to play :)

And so I'm curious if there are other (permanent) items you can buy that work similarly rather than having to use summoned light stones or whatnot? Especially if they offer even better, nicer looking light.

The best you can do from inventory is a Greater Lightstone or equivalent light source. It's the same light type as a Gloomingdeep lantern. It's a blue light.

I wish there was an orange light source that worked from inventory, but I don't believe that there is one.

Epic 2.0s are a bright orange light source, but unfortunately they don't work from inventory.

    Here is a nice summary:

Greater Lightstone is my suggestion as well. You can get them by killing will-o-wisps is a lot of zones. They are definitely in the zone between qeynos and jaggedpine called Qyenos hills, but I believe you will find them in most newbie zones. They are magical and require a magical weapon to kill, so you can't use a rusty dagger.

You can also buy a torch from a vendor in the mean time.

You can also look for dark elf illusions or items with Ultravision. The dark elf mask is pretty hard to get for a new player. The easiest way to get it is to obtain a "casino kit" and a golden ticket or 2.

greater lightstone is not extremely hard to get. just gotta kill wisps. Easiest ones are in Qeynos Hill area, as they are fairly low level. Though they come in abundance in Blightfire Moor (think I spelled that right?), but are around L25-27ish.

mages also can summon many items that offer light.
