Gold membership reverts to Silver or Bronze?

If I go gold for a month on a bronze account, will the account go back to Bronze or Silver afterwards?

My main interest is using A5 mercenary, which silver can utilize but bronze appears to be limited to A2.

You will revert back to Free (what you are calling Bronze). With the change to All-Access, Silver level now only exists for those accounts which were made silver before the All-Access change; you can no longer buy or otherwise acquire Silver level.

I would not be surprised if at some point this summer if an unlocker for A3-5 appears on the Marketplace.

Thanks! Yeah, by Bronze I meant the free level.

The A2 merc is just pathetic at higher levels while my silver account with A5 healer could do quite nicely. J5 on my gold account is nice, but expensive...

I do wish there were more options to upgrade the account by paying but not going gold.

And by gold you mean all-access. Gold is gone too.

Going All-Access without paying could be a challenge, however, depending on your class, and how able it is to farm, you can amass the platinum to buy a Krono from some one who is willing to sell it. Prices vary, but a /baz search krono should tell you just how much you need, then it is a matter of being able to find a decent farm. I would suggest for a brand new account, that the 500-800 k or so is likely daunting, but, even a starter character can get a little lucky, I have recently begun making runts on all servers so that I can quickly go visit housing if I see something on the forums I would like to visit, picked up a Fresh Meat of a cat in Crescent Reach- quick sale in bazaar and one runt is set for quite a while. Farming for plat means learning what mobs drop cash and good loot for sale to NPC, items/gems, and what buyers in the bazaar are willing to pay for, that you can acquire. Still this is Everquest, so if you can find enjoyment as you go, that makes you a winner as much as any other factor. Find your self a friendly guild, that can help you get your skills up, don't demand too much as folk want to do stuff too, and mayhap in another 15 years, you will decide it was worth the effort.

Does anyone know the answer to this if the account was silver? In other words my silver account I bumped up to gold/all access for a month, if I let it slide back to free will I still have now obsolete silver benefits?

    Yes. You don't lose Silver.
I also know that Silver is not available as a purchase anymore. \
I'm not sure that a paid "Gold" account does not revert to Silver.
This particularly if the account "went Gold" while that deal was still in effect.
To not honor the deal as presented at the time of the purchase is a breach.

you will still keep the silver benefits and silver still exists. you can create a F2P account. Pay for it for a month, stop and you still be silver. I know this because i created a second account and at one point it lapsed and i was silver NOT F2P. with all the perks or lack thereof for silver not F2P

Dibab, when was this ? This is what I was asking about, the ability to go F2P(ie bronze) to All-Access(former gold) for a month then maybe you get the silver benefits when you stop paying.
