Gilded Hammer of Ro's Light - Proc

While I do appreciate being able to have more AoE abilities....one where I can't decide when to use it is not making me a happy camper. Pulling aggro on new mobs that spawn in raids from random procs, not being able to use the thing on fights where any mezzing is occurring. I learn from my mistakes and use my older weapon in these situations, but I would like to be able to use my item all the time.

Is there any chance of having this proc changed to be a single target fire proc? Or something else, at least remove the threat associated with it because I legitimately can't use it during the new raid, at least not during the Lanys part.

I'm guessing this is a joke?
We dont need another cookie cutter weapon, this thing actually broke the mold a bit, and I like that!
Its obviously going to be a very situational weapon, and if you couldnt deduce that when you won the item over most likely, many other people, too bad.

I won the item over 1 other person who already has the sword from ToR. If you're going to break the cookie cutter mold make it something functional not a death trap.

i'm blowing all my dkp on this the first time it drops. for the love of baby joseph sayer, don't change the proc. also, free protip, you should look at the bandolier functionality.

You both have this idea that I don't know how to swap weapons - I understand what I have to do, but I would prefer to just have a chase weapon that is usable all the time not in situational use...

Ohhhh my goodness the proc on that weapon is awesome. There are many many options for single target procs to bid and choose from.

This weapon is great as it is... Truly a breath of fresh air rather than another cookie cutter weapon.

If I was the other person bidding and lost then saw this thread I would be very steamed to know I lost to someone who didn't really understand or appreciate how great the item is. I can't speak for everyone but I am pretty sure many would be thrilled with this thing as is.

Why on earth would you get this weapon with the knowledge that its entire purpose is to be utilized in specific circumstances?

It's the first AOE proc weapon we've had in a long time, you're going to see a lot more regular two handers drop in the future.

This is why we can't have nice things.

I can't wait to get my hands on this weapon. I let the first one go, but if I'm lucky to see another, I intend to own it.

It doesn't sound like you appreciate it at all, and you make the decision to equip the item, so it's all on you.

You aren't special, all classes have to make decisions based on the event mechanics, good players know when to use what for the benefit of the raid it's not about any one player.

So.. don't friggin use it during the new raid!! Try that and I'm 99% certain your issue will disappear, or keep using it and deal with it. There are tons of situational weapons in game that all started out as new weapons.

Get ur self another 2hander to use all the time... This one was made for a different purpose and if that purpose doesn't fit you then you will know next time to learn on what you are going for.

The proc damage is what the problem is not the type of proc. It is a limited use item so the proc should be 1500 + It's not like 1500 damage is a lot anyway.

I did a 12 hour parse vs 2 dummies in Guild Hall. Just auto attack while mostly raid buffed, the AE proc did 160 DPS vs the 2nd dummy. This was on a Zerker with maxed AA.
