After a week, little has changed for the recruiting needs for the guild, but I wanted to delve a little more as to exactly what we're out to accomplish here to maybe sway some unguilded folks our way. As a former leader, in both guild and raiding, I had the experience of building a team from scratch long ago. On a server much smaller in size than Lockjaw. I am confident that we can field a large enough force to take out all current and all upcoming raid content as it is released. This raid force will be no larger than it needs to be as far as making enemies fall down and go boom. This is no knock whatsoever on the existing guilds that have large guilds, raid forces, or what have you... It is merely us saying we know that we do not need a giant raid to kill the current content anymore. Who do we want? What we are looking for are players who are active and proud of the pixels they wear in game. We do not ask you apply at level 50 with full planar gear. All we ask is that if you arennot 50, that you are unyielding in making it happen asap. Being that we are going to begin raiding as soon as we have the makeup of a rounded raid team; we need everyone to be devoted to making this work. As we will be smaller, gearing everyone up will obviously take less time. Why join GitF? As mentioned above, we will be a smaller in numbers guild. Gear will be distributed faster, and honestly; having less people will make it seem more rewarding as we progress. You will know your guildies. It will not seem so much like a loot machine as it will seem like a team of players, working together closely, to make things happen. Expectations for the guild? We fully intend on joining the Lockjaw Rotation with it's other great guilds. We're planning to achieve this by the end of September, but the sooner, the better. We still need all classes that are close to, if not raid level ready. We plan on making a respectable name for ourselves as we aim to keep pace with the larger guilds as expansions release. So with all of that being said; I ask you to consider joining our ranks and becoming a foundation piece for what is to come. If you are unguilded and thought maybe joining a large guild isn't for you...maybe Ghost can be the bridge you can cross to getting into the raiding scene on Lockjaw. If you have a group of friends wanting a VERY organized guild that will get things done...look myself (Steampint) or Hookups up in game. We are both always more than happy to answer any questions. Thank you once again for taking the time to read this post. I hope to meet some more people in the very near future.
The FFA dps race won't really affect us only because of the rotation set in place. I have no intentions of dps racing any guild really at any time. And by saying we will stay as small as possible; if Queen takes 72 to kill, we will have 72 there. I just refuse to run 2 raids, have alts/boxes in over Mains, and having the slow confusion of distributing loot through those 2 raids. I very much do appreciate your support. Do understand my response was meant as a constructive argument I do argue though that I believe Queen can be killed with 72 or less now that she has been nerfed.
I respect what you are doing. I don't respect having three threads dedicated to the same guild. The other two aren't even aged off of the front page yet. Also sub 20 characters can clear all raid content in classic and kunark.
If all raid members have high disease resists, queen bee is totally doable with a smaller group because she hits for significantly less. Hell, we did Efreeti cycle with about 60 by utilizing CH rotation and melee moving in and out of the rain. No mage boxes. Good luck to your new guild, Steampint.
This is only my 2nd post and the first is a general recruitment post. I wanted to explain more as to the plan of the guild as instead of what we're recruiting. Either way, with some of the posts on here, I didn't feel bad about posting a constructive post. Although the take autofollow off post was a gem. Thank you for the support though. I truly am sorry to those who feel I am spamming the forums. I just felt this one was needed.
1. FFA is already minimal on this server, and may very well be removed in the next rotation meeting. Right now no one but faceless wins FFA anyways, so by your logic, none of the other guilds will work 2. Post sky nerfs, none of those bosses need 100+ people. Bee is still hard, but is absolutely doable with a normal sized raid force. Hand/Genie cycles are both probably easier then bee in terms of numbers. They require tight healing that you can sustain, but otherwise aren't too crazy. 3. Well, 1 and 2 don't really matter. Good luck Loko, you honestly should be just fine keeping a 72 or fewer raid force. Post sky nerfs a lot of this stuff is pretty dang easy. Also, when you say "hookups", you mean *the* hookups from inno server? Hes finally here??
Hookups from Inny is finally here! Only took me from harassing him in real life to make it happen. And once again; thanks everyone for the support
Bump. Roughly 25-30 online at peak times. We're still recruiting all classes and levels, as long as the player is actively leveling. Hate and Fear farming begins this week. Lets get some fresh blood in the ranks!
Website is up. A work in progress, but here ya go. I encourage all interested to reach out to me soon. As we kicking off PoHate and Fear farming runs this week and it's more just for everyone to work together and get to know each other while we gear some folks up. http://ghost.dkpsystem.com
