That is me. I am 6’4’’ (1.94) and I drive a Chevrolet Spark. We have 6 kids in total, and two small cars... it is ridiculous... co-workers joke that I wear the car...

Well, you also have more of a socialist society there. Not that that's a bad thing, but it's obviously a different situation.

That is... sort of true, but more not true. /rant inc. Denmark is a hyper-capitalist/post-capitalist society, where the state invests heavily in peoples ability to earn income, and then rent them out to companies... ;-). Denmark has very good conditions for business of all sizes, it is extremely easy to fire people (flexicurity), and the basic cultural value of an individual is its ability to work. It is a hybrid between a country and a corporation... Danes have one of the highest rates of labour productivity, even beating germans, in spite of short work weeks and a lot of vacation. People unable to contribute because of inability to adapt to modern high efficiency work pace are parked, often for life, and are second class citizens, culturally speaking.

this is of course not the main stream narrative, we are all HAPPY, the most happy people in the world. Only dysfunctional people are not HAPPY, better not be associated with them. Oh, did I mention we also strive to have one of the highest rates of suicides in the world? Especially middle aged males; males in general constitute the lowest 20% of society; women tend to get some kind of job, and thereby social acceptance, but uneducated males with low market value sit in small 1 room apartments playing computer games, watching TV, being singles, living on a minimum, and more or less hoping for our quite good free health care to fail them at last, so that they can get out of their miserable existance. They typically have no incentive to commit crime, because of welfare, which is good enough for that purpose. It is not humane, it is efficient. Very few people truly chooses to live of welfare in Denmark, it is a question of not being able to be worth the quite high minimal wages.

A clockwork society in constant improvement, with social engineering and re-engineering.

I am lucky, I am well-off I think it is called, and I do believe it is a “superior” form; all human potential is realized, university is free, you even get a stipend to go to university, we are paid to study, not the other way around. I know my children will have access to education and healthcare. But I sometimes wish that the Star Trek utopia of humanity realizing human potential, not economic potential, would become true.

I don’t think it is socialist... Socialistic hyper-capitalism, maybe?

Anyway, it is an archipelago. As long as you guys keep driving your big cars, we will be relieved of our misery at some point in time, when the kingdom becomes Waterworld...

All said with tounge in cheek, of course. I am very HAPPY. Really. Nothing wrong with me. Nope. Allll fine... (wife is literally a psychiatrist :-D )
