Glad to have new forums, but these are definitely going to take some getting used to. I'm also a little sad that when you "mark a forum as read" it doesn't return you to the main forum...but...that's not any different from before so I guess I shouldn't be that surprised, heh.
The general channels supporting more people means they have to upgrade the whole UCS and that is rightfully low priority.
What should be higher priority than helping players find groups and/or get help? Only in Everquest could players feel it's reasonable to camp a chat channel!
I would really like to see an upgrade to the UCS personally. In an MMO chat is a vital function so I don't think it should be low priority
Any number of bugs and exploits. Fixing broken items/Abilities/Spells. Determine content for next expansion Balance classes for next expansion Finish Epic Ornaments Quests That Chat system as it is now works fine; it may not be as great as some would like but it does what it is meant to do and how it is meant to do it. It does not inhibit chat; the rare exception is when people end up in General3 or General4 (or if they autojoin General and General1 they might be in General11) with only maybe 10-40 people in with them; but more times than not they can join at least one of General, General1, or General2 if they try more than a few times. On average when I don't get into general upon logging in I can within 30-40 seconds of trying; if not then I am almost always already in General1 which is almost as full.
General use to go to General 1, General2, General3 and so on when it starts getting filled. now it does not do that and only there is currently General , no 1 2 3 or what ever, it just says General not found once then main general is full
I can confirm this; if there are 200 in general, trying to /join general will yield a "not found" response.
Maybe I missed it even though I read it three times, What needs fixed? It would be a pain in the butt to try and figure out conversation threads with 200 people in a channel let alone 200+.
