Hi all, I've been wanting to get back into EQ with the 14th anniversary events happening now. I downloaded and installed the game. When I launched it, I had to make sure my Comodo Firewall treated the game as allowed. But still I have problems. After I select which server I want to play on, the game goes to a black screen and then hangs. I can't even close the game window - I have to CTRL ALT DEL to activate the task manager and then close eqgame.exe using the task manager. I tried turning off the firewall to see if doing so would enable the game to move to the character select screen. It did not, it did the same thing with the firewall turned off. Any help here would be appreciated.
Edit: I quit all running programs and the game ran successfully. I played for a while with no problems. Clearly one of the programs I have running causes conflicts with everquest. I will try to find out which one(s).
