Not fixed! Work around to be able to adjust resolution in FS need to be FS at Character select. then after you enter world you can adjust resolution. suggest using an alt / if needed create one to do adjustments so main character doesn't loose layout.

SO WHEN WILL THIS BE FIXED

    "EXTERNALLY"?

7 accounts, 40 characters on Mischief. Haven't had a working UI since the Thornblade merge.

Never played windowed, always played fullscreen so there is NO windowed UI to /copylayout s every loging is hosed and does NOT SAVE on exit.

So unprofessional, never seen nonsense like this from ANY other game.

I cannot and wil not continue to play this way. It is infuriating.

    Also- related note
EQ is ridiculously finicky about grabbing the edges of bags and windows in general adding to this frustrating experience.

Hire someone if you don't know how.

If only fixes were done as rapidly and as focused as hiding threads on it.

Another thread in this forum is marked fixed on this issue.

    It is not.

Maybe all the devs ONLY played windowed because 3rd party software requires windowed mode and that's all they care about.

It reallly seems like EQ davs dislike or cannot work with fullscreen, like the perma nagware of the Inventory and HoTT windows orphaned in a layer in front of the UI. No matter what you open, it's behind the Inventory screen. Sure makes comparing items tedious.

    I can't play like this.

The new fix worked on my machine, even after a restart. Make sure you follow the instructions step by step though.

My question will the "hot fix" be pushed or is the "hot fix" to be applied player side? Two different definitions of "hot fix" the latter isn't a "hot fix" it's a knowledge item workaround until a "hot fix" can be pushed. Which are we looking at?

What happens the next time you launch the game though?

Never mind, I tested it, and it worked!

Delete the video settings in eqclient.ini
    Launch client
Alt-Enter on Server Selection screen to get into full-screen
Get into the world with a character, set the video settings you want.
    Camp
    Launch client

The game now loads in full-screen with the desired settings. I will have to test this on my other machine to see if it gets the same results. Whatever they fixed, it's holding now. Unless deleting the settings was always the fix and we didn't know it yet.

It is semi fixed. I am not sure if its a bug or what. But if a raid or group disbands while you are zoning and you click on a different screen while zoning the raid/group window bugs. I had it last night where I was in a raid, I zoned and while zoning raid disbanded while I looked on a webpage on my 2nd screen. When I finished zoning I was still in the raid, I couldn't disband from the raid. Raid window would do nothing but showed everyone still in the raid window. A guildie tried to invite me to a group, my GINA trigger said I got group invite BUT group buttons never changed and I couldn't accept it. I had to relog to fix it. Have had it happen with a group too, where group disbanded while zoning and I clicked on to my other screen while zoning. Everyone was still in the group and my group buttons wouldn't work.

Also, if I zone, and before the load messages come up, and I click off the screen, my UI goes funky. Chat windows goes blank, hotbars go blank, buff window shows blue borders where buffs are with no spell names, spell window goes blank etc etc.
I notice it because I often click over to my bard EQ on 2nd screen quicker then load messages come up on my Mages EQ.
Fullscreen is working for me, which I am thankful for. But the rest is quite annoying to look at.

This has happened since the last patch/client update. It never happened in the past.
I can easily duplicate it BUT I don't know how to screenshot it to show what happens.

Discord is useless if you want to find a post passed previously.

If they deleted all off topic posts it would be a start.

[IMG]Did this "fix" but now my Inventory, actions and other in game windows are microscopic. How do these adjust?? Pic (if it loaded) points to my inventory window, the small spec of a square in the circled area

    100% not fixed.

Been playing on a 49" 5120x1440 monitor for 5 years - The UI still doesn't save in either fullscreen or windowed mode, UI ends up scattered all over my screen whenever I switch from full screen to windowed and then I go back to full screen and have to reposition my entire ui.

Darkpaw you seriously need to fix the situation you've put yourself in. You've only continually made the game worse and worse year after year since you've taken the reigns. I don't recall a single point where everquest was completely and utterly unplayable for more than a week at most.

You've got 14 days to fix this, otherwise my money will go to a worthy set of devs at a company that actually know what they're doing.
