    Hello all!

Want to see a video recap of Fippy Fest? Check out the EverQuest Show - Fippy Fest Recap Special!

I know some of you wanted to see full screen video of the 4 winged dragon that was shown. It's in there...

Or you can see this screen shot, and a LOT MORE PHOTOS in the Fippy Fest Photo Gallery post on EverQuestShow.com

I hope you enjoy it! And thank you for the continued support!

    Thanks!

Now that Fippy Fest is passed, and folks have an idea of what was involved I have a question....

Would you attend Fippy Fest if it were held in a similar fashion next year at the same price point?

My personal opinion is of course! But what I'd really prefer to see is this "scaled down, upscale" iteration of "Fippy Fest" should be held on milestone years (Maybe again at 30 year?!?!).

In the meantime, yearly, or every-other-year Fan Faires are certainly something I think the fans want to see.

I'd make it a convention for the entire suite of Daybreak games, so that fans of EQ, EQ2, DCUO, LOTRO, DDO, PS, H1Z1 and more can all fan out together! It brings the convention numbers up, and the overall cost-per-person down. Not to mention gets some love for the fans and games.

    Thoughts?

If my budget and time allowed for it, yes. However, I did appreciate the ability to purchase a digital bundle with nice goodies and allowed to ask questions (a couple of mine were picked).

A larger convention like a Comicon with a much cheaper price tag to attend I would be more than willing to pay for the ticket, flight, and hotel room to attend.

Agreed though its nice they had anything at all. Never been to Comicon but have thought about going. Used to do GenCon years ago when it was in Milwaukee. Loved that spy bar in that city. Forget what its called. You enter through a fake import/export office and exit via a telephone.

    Just to add to this...

I know I've been teasing putting something together for Gen Con, but it's going to happen.

I'm finalizing the plans now. I'll have much more detail on the next EverQuest Show, but it will be a free event, open to all during Gen Con, but a badge for Gen Con will not be required. A very laid back event : grab a bite to eat with fans and then have a pint or play some pinball with Fading and others!

Saturday August 3, in the evening, but more details TBA. Unsure if Darkpaw will be able to have a full suite of devs, but they said they would like to send some. We'll see.

As we are located in central europe, the answer is no. The event was much to luxurious/expensive imo, and was only something for the whales out there. It has locked out most of the players.

Yeah, compared to what Fan Faires were priced at in the past vs what you got I can't see myself paying the money to attend one of these live events at the current price point and with what is offered. Love EQ but not that much.
