I'm not sure why your trying to give equal weight to the one raiding guild and a cheating multiboxer who plans to spoil things for everyone else out of spite.

Because you should. Regardless of what side of the fence you're on with this, it's equal opportunity.

Claiming you want the server to run X way is no different than a group coming in and claiming they're going to make it run Y way.

Both are extruding signs of pure entitlement.

Only issue is, the sleeper event can happen, is meant to happen, and will happen. And that's based on the individual(s). There is no democracy involved. There is no majority vote poll ordeal.

It's simply an EOE (equal opportunity encounter) since the expansion releases at the same time for everyone. No one person's wants or needs are greater or less than another's. It's just a first come first serve scenario. Equal weight, equal opportunity

sleeping sleeper DZ makes a ton of sense to me. good way for more people to see old content from back when waking the sleeper was a pretty cool event and maybe even an accomplishment. now it's unimpressive and just used to try to grief / RMT.

its not equal opportunity. One side is 30-60 players, the other is a single person who very openly admits to cheating to box armies on his own. These things are not the same.
If it was 2 guilds competing - then yea open season. However its one person (who is cheating) vs a large group of people. Even without counting the number of people on both sides, the blatant cheating means he has no value in this conversation.

Opportunity has nothing to do with cheating or not though. Unless the other side somehow gains access to Velious than the rest of the server, it's equal opportunity.

Given the sheer numbers, the established guild should actually have the upper hand in this endeavor and there's no reason they can't beat him to it.

But is it still an equal opportunity. Yes

From what I'm reading it isn't about beating him to the kill, its about not killing him at all so they can farm weapons for longer.

Note that says several groups. Not 1 individual.

There are guilds who enjoy waking Sleeper and will race others to do it on all TLP servers. This reads as if there are more than 1 guild outside of the one talking here that want to race each other to kill Sleeper.

Well if we look at the OP:

While he does passively mention loot from before the awakening, he focuses on that screenshot of the sleeper still sleeping. Which again, with his numbers that he boasts, the guild should have no issues getting to that point.

But then he also mentions playing the game as it was intended...and the sleeper event was intended to be done...so now there's a bit of conflict of interest here. Not everyone gets the opportunity to farm pre awakened, and not everyone gets the opportunity to do the awakening.

But they still have the chance and opportunity to get what they want out of it if they work as a guild.

But this whole "wait for the weakest link" mentality I do not agree with.

I want both. Sleeping and non-sleeping. I want to be able to do whatever I want this game is too old to worry about the sleeper thing, it is pointless to keep the event as it is with AoC in the game. Just do both versions of DZ and let OW be whichever one happens to happen. Sleeping sleeper? OW Sleeping, DZ Sleeping, DZ Awoken. or Awoken Sleeper? OW Awoken, DZ Sleeping, DZ Awoken. As long as I can DZ both I don't care what happens to The Sleeper in OW.

R1, I am totally good with apprentice mercs. I'm am not against group play. I just don't want people to feel their only solution is to box if they want to succeed at leveling if there is no players at lower levels. As such I am equally not against molo'ing either. I think more people would be welcoming to dropping a merc for a player over dropping a box that they are paying for and investing in. That and if you get 3 people you have a full group with mercs. It also fills in roles that might not be an option that that curing time zone at that current time. Maybe EU players that will raid PST but spend the majority of their day in game when US players are sleeping could use the mercs to help them catch up. Or some dads want to do some grinding but cannot find a tank or healer. They can pop out a merc play while children are napping or something and still get things done without investing dipper funds into a 2nd or 3rd box to be able to enjoy the game they love in their off time. This is the reason why I suggested it.

We are getting refugees from Teek. It isn't all it was cracked up to be for a lot of people. However, the rumor that it is a dead server is what keeps people away. The few that actually join up are almost always pleasantly surprised. They are just struggling to level.

I am completely okay with the AoC pre/post awaken options. Our guild doesn't care about bragging rights or server firsts. We just want to do content without harassment. Their has been plenty of servers without an permanent pre-awaken option. It should be an option and a choice. Imho server firsts are stupid. It's not rly first as someone did it 25 years ago. As previously stated its not the same with all the QoL changes. However, this is the first time for many of our members. We are the largest guild but not the only one and all the guilds here have clearly shared with me that they don't wish for the sleeper awakened. Not all of them follow forums. Even most of my members don't even have a forum name to post here! It's not that shocking.

Finally, to those that cannot take a hint. I thought I posted this but maybe I wasn't I didn't or I wasn't clear enough... I was told to post this in this exact spot on the forums with the title I posted it under being feedback.

Numbers I boast? If we were on any other TLP we'd be considered a small guild. So not sure how I am boasting anything. You're just consistently taking things out of context. Yes, I brought up people in my guild have stated they wanted to take photos with sleeper. There is nothing wrong with this and they have also stated they want the loot. My goal as leader is to help them achieve these goals. I guess that makes me a bad person. /shame on me. How about you stop boasting that you are some victim because we "how evil" want to enjoy the game play that WE want. You are clearly not a victim and we don't want to race. It is our server. I am happy to claim that. If the players had any control you bet we would make a stand but that is actually against the play nice rules. We couldn't make an ogre wall to prevent ppl like you. It clearly states this. Even if we report ppl for training they can still do it in the moment and get away with the final results like taking a raid target and waking the sleeper.

There is no reverse button. However, we can post here as I was told to and make a request to those who have actual power to make changes to see our requests which is actually who this post is to. NOT YOU. You just have the option to give your feedback too and they can clearly see you're personality and character. No one on our server is like you or supports you. You are literally like the only person against this request...I originally thought there was another and seems I was mislead on him (/shrugs) My apologies to him (you know who I am talking to). So yeah its just you verse the majority that are okay with it including people that aren't even on our server but play live.

That is the thing its already a DZ instance of pre-awakened sleeper before OW is awakened. They just need to make the option to select pre-awakened or post awakened at the AoC. It's likely line line of coding at best? I am sure an untalented coder could finish it before their first coffee of the day was finished if not sooner.

On the wow ref. EQ was first and many of the class concepts were taken from EQ even some of the Devs on WoW team are from EQ originally. They aren't doing class balancing like wow here. They are adding a line of code to give an option to play an instance that is already in the game. While also maybe pre-releasing mercs, even app level mercs would be acceptable. I am glad you agree on the mercs. I equally cannot see any reason any person would have any issue dropping a merc for a player. However, early truebox doesn't solve the issue as these players aren't boxing. They don't want to they want to play with other players. They just don't have the option to do that all the time but wish to level and mercs would solve this issue. Yeah 100% agreed majority wouldn't want to drop their box they are paying to level as they are invested in that. The merc auto levels with the player. It hurts nothing to drop them or add them to keep a group rolling. I don't understand the animosity to mercs. A lot of my servers player base plays in off peak hours. We raid in peak hours.

Also, There is no such thing as pvp on Tormax. It's not Zek.

You cannot have mercs in a raid and solution is simple if worried about op. Make them app level mercs which is stated to be group geared mercs.

Exactly, If teek can keep pre-awaked loot and as such won't wake him. Why should ours be woken?! It is to grief. A notch on someone's belt that isn't even part of our population on Tormax.

Primal weapons are there in the pre-awakened state. They just have a different name. This is not a good reason to wake him. That just seems like a weak excuse someone came up with.

I think it is crazy how everyone puts me in the same bag as the other big guild leaders that are jerks on other servers that they are used to and the same with all the guilds here primarily mine being the largest so the easiest target. I literally only want to support the desires of my members and the members of the other guilds on the server. At the time of the post we were the only guild raiding. Now we have 3 other guilds that have finally caught up with some help from each other. Yeah omg our server literally the guilds actually help each other WOW ... yeah we have given away (not sold) scales and other epic items to other guilds so they can progress on the server. That is nuts huh? We are so mean and greedy pixel hungry horrid individuals.

So many have no clue the culture our server has. We are a tight knit community that is actually helping each other daily and really care about the people behind the screen. I know what you are used to on other servers like Yeli, Mischief, Oakwynd, and oh yeah 100% on Teek.

This is why we have teek refugees joining us slowly and staying instead of quitting the game for another year. They are being able to actually enjoy the game for the first time. We are driving force in pushing for the positive enjoyment on the server instead of pushing to get server firsts, training, krono selling, or griefing people.

There are no raid instances on TLP before potime. You just waltz into the zone and kill stuff. There is nothing stopping mercs from attacking raid mobs, and if you have mercs you don't need to form a raid. Just a couple people in a group with mercs.
Thats the point, you wont even need a raid to do it.

1st, I've never brought myself into the equation, so that alone makes it real hard for me to play victim here.
2nd, you need to be proactive as a guild leader to help them achieve those goals. Asking for the game to halt for you, instead of taking the initiative and going forward and beating the other group, is not that.

Annnnnd there's the root of all of your problems...

1st - If you cant handle pushback, don't post on a public forum where people have different views than you.
2nd - my character and personality are fine. Sorry i don't shine with entitlement (not to be confused with enlightenment) to blend in with you and your people.
3rd - I'm not against the request. I've agreed with the DZ/AoC option. I'm against the way you're trying handle the situation by claiming it's your server, and you have the right, and that anyone who disagrees with you is wrong and trolling.

It's an open server for everyone to play on. Which leads me to my next point:

Server rule set - if that's what you want, go switch servers and start over on that side. That's part of the reason why Teek is so popular and Tormax is not.

So is there a reason you guys can't all band together and do the same thing and achieve your Screenshot goals while working together?? You talk about bonds and being tight knit and comradery, yet refuse to put them into practice to achieve a goal that you easily could do together. Instead you're asking the devs to change things to fit your own personal needs and goals while damning other people.

nothing needs to be done. Simply allow the zone to have a dz before sleeper is awake (it might already and no one noticed).
