[Feedback] and Request

Before anyone decides to troll me for this post. I was requested to post this here by multiple sources including GM Doex from the daybreak help and Angeliana from the EQ Official discord. Those here that I am reach out to can confirm this with both sources.


Info about Tormax/The Heroic Few guild skip for tldr

Our server does not have any krono farmers/sellers/power leveler services because there is absolutely no market here for them as our player base is focused on camaraderie and hardly use kronos. What I mean by camaraderie is we literally give things normally of great value away to the members of our guild. I won't hide the fact the majority of the server is actually in my guild. I don't find this shameful as it helps facilitate and promote that camaraderie behavior -vs- they aren't part of my group and I can be greedy, rude, or have toxic behavior.

Being the only raiding guild we don't promote this in leadership nor maintain members with any type of toxic behavior and you won't find a place in our guild with it. We are all adults and many with children. We don't wish to see or have our children see these actions on our screens in passing. We have people from all walks of life that have many different schedules and from so many time zones! It is so wonderful to be able to spend time with everyone.

Our first issue:

However, to the root of our issues. As the Guild Leader of the only raiding guild on Tormax. I am still struggling to maintain my members as they fear the server will die out. It is also hard to encourage players to join our server due to the game being top heavy and so few to level with at lower levels. Those that are considering joining our server have only expressed fear ever being able to catch up because they cannot find a group. This is heartbreaking with the server only just being released not to long ago with classic/kunark mix and Velious a few weeks away.

• I don't want to ask for anything grand or crazy. I'm not trying to seek anything extreme. I just want to help out my members now and future members. Maybe even those didn't actually enjoy what Teek has to offer. This could encourage them and others that might be worried about catching up at any point to come join our server.
• Solution:Can you please implement mercenaries on Tormax starting in Velious with merc's purchaseable at our home cities or the newbie yards.

This simple thing would resolve so many of our issues. There is so much plat on our server just wasting away its going to start causing a serious inflationary issue. Doing this early could knock out multiple problems with literally one very simple change. I think this little change not only would inspire new people to join our server that are concerned about finding a group. It would also help alleviate every other issue we've had or could have in maintaining our population that I brought up above.


Our second issue:

It has come to our guild leadership's attention that on velious going live; several groups not from our server plan to awaken the sleeper as fast as possible for the simple reason of spite. The individuals are very well known for following through with their threats as their player base is similar to a cult.
Not only is this violating your own code of conduct <- Link (please speak with Angeliana for the photo sources provided that prove the following)

1. They have already violated your first rule #1. You may not harass or threaten other players.
2. Further it violates your Article 1.1 Play nice policies - Activity within EverQuest section 2 "You may not harass others" specifically the portion on targeting another player or group of players to harm or inconveniencing them.
3. Yet, also section 3 "You may not disrupt the normal playability of the zone or area"

As stated above I am the leader of "The Heroic Few" guild. My guild is literally the only raiding guild on Tormax with basically all the active players on the server and as such I think we the players of Tormax should have a firm choice in whether or not our server wants the sleeper to be woken up or not.

Solution:
We, of the server Tormax, all prefer that the sleeper be kept in its unawakened state throughout Velious expansion and only allowed to awaken on the last week of Velious or have a DZ option to raid the sleeper in the unawakened state as many times as we desire.

There have been plenty of servers that have had him woken up in the first month and against the choice of the majority of players on each of these servers. We on Tormax want the masses to have this experience that has been grossly taken from them for greedy purposes.

The only reason those guilds did it was so that they could farm one or two sets of the "special" unawakened loot and then sell it for massive Kronos as it is now a "limited edition". The majority of the players on our server have no interest in this including my guild which is the largest and only raiding guild.

I want people to be able to take screenshots with their characters next to the sleeper while it is asleep on Tormax, if that is what they choose so they can fulfill this dream of experiencing this just once and not have it taken from them. Or finally have a chance at the unawakened loot in era and just have the option to play the game and earn it as it was originally intended to be with their own hard work with their guild. To just be able to enjoy the game. Is that really to much to ask for? I don't think so.

As I said we do not have any hardcore degen guilds as found on Teek, and as such we ask that these people and those like them wishing to bring degenerate behavior to our server not be allowed to do so. At the very least prevent them this opertunity of awakening the sleeper before it is desired to be by the actual players of the server and we don't want it until the last week of Velious.

Please stand with the people of Tormax and make this change for us that I highlighted in orange texts

I think mercenaries a bit early to help folks level would be a good idea and combat power leveling krono farmers on the server.

100% agreed on preventing griefers from ruining the server for everyone. (If there is picture proof of a threat, ban them.)

On the first issue. Mercenaries are actually when a lot of people leave a server. Adding them in Velious may very well quicken this exodus of players. Having said that, I am behind this only because the server is losing people anyways and mercenaries may help short-term. The fix long-term is to make changes to the server which in of itself could cause people to leave because they joined Tormax for the advertised rule-set.

On the second issue. It is not an issue. There is nothing wrong with a group not on the server going specifically for waking the sleeper. It violates none of the quoted rules as it is part of the game-play and intention of the event despite the people only going for that event. Not a violation. I do of course support loot for all and these limited events that permanently remove loot from the game are against that loot for all mindset. So I can get behind open world getting the normal treatment of the changes but either keep the DZ pre-awaken or have a DZ access to both versions.

There have been tons of TLPs, with tons of times these same people have awakened the sleeper. Isn't it about time that we can do the zone pre-awakening without someone messing it up. There are many other qualities of life added to the game.

To your reply on the first topic we of tormax don't wish any further changes. The mercs would solve our only issue of assisting people in group content to get to of appropriate level for raiding not only now but in further expansions with the limited people in each time zone on our server.

A reply to yours on our second issue. It is an issue if it is not the choice of the players on the server when a group of individuals whose only desire is to grief people to wake the sleeper and leave the server just to literally prove that they could. They are not part of the population of the server nor care about the server or the health of the server it is actually violating all of the quoted rules. If you are unable to see this I question your beliefs, values, and morals.

PLS PLS. I can't stress it enough no mercs pls if I'm in your guild kick me over this post but once they come the Ancer to LFG, is get a merc need a heal get a merc oh want to play with ppl. go get a merc I may sound stupid but time after time mercs come and it becomes go get a merc

I support this and agree with Trinost completely.

Finding a way to enable the Bazaar asap on this server would be a help. All TLP servers would benefit from this kind of implementation, but I have to think Tormax server is very close to being shut down and/or merged. It's too bad as there are some really helpful players on this server and I'm having a lot of fun dorking around here on my free time of which I have very little. There's no market here, you'd instantly have a market and a re-infusion of players.

You are not Tormax. I play on Tormax and I don't want any changes. But that doesn't mean the long-term fix is to make changes. Mercenaries would be one of those changes I do not want.

It may be an issue for those that want to do the content. But it is in no way a violation of any rules that Daybreak has up currently. Can you provide proof that they are violating these rules?

I was just made aware you are actually a player from Teek. Someone in my guild that used to be in your old guild on a previous server informed me of who you were as you bragged about forum posts sharing them so we know who you are and what guild you currently belong to which is the exact guild in question of coming over here and violating our rights.

Of course you don't support our request for this and hope it is not a violation as you don't wish to have your accounts banned. You wish to get another new peg in your belt of servers you've conquered the sleeper with and took it from the masses. Go back to teek and leave Tormax alone. You don't belong here.

lol, who have you spoken to that claims I am on Teek? My highest level is 2. I am a Tormax player. This member may very well know me from a previous guild but I do not play on Teek. I don't want these people waking sleeper either but I also know they are not violating rules to do so.

Who he is and what he wants is inconsequential as he's right.

The people planning on awakening the Sleeper are not breaking any rules that you claim they are. Mercs on Tormax would be fine by me

I don't think Mercs is a good idea. But if we can find a way to keep sleeping sleeper sleeping I am all for that.

This is hilarious. Makes me want to go roll on tormax and burn through to 60 and help awaken the sleeper and then quit.
