I wonder if it would be feasible to have the advanced loot window add a symbol or something to indicate you already have the item in question? For myself since I box would be easier to see if toons have things like gallant drops that are not no trade or lore. In addition showing if you have the item MADE FROM the associated drop... like with gallant would be great.

Worth doing if easy to do. If not easy probably not as worth it. Thoughts?

    I agree!
For Lore items you just cannot tick any of the selections but that's really not all that helpful either. But nothing for the non-lore. But... if it will add an exorbitant amount of lag, I wouldn't want it.

It would be nice if the loot window showed how many of the items you currently had. A functionality kind of exists like that already. If you make an item into a hotbutton, the count is the total number you have. For instance, I have a stack of 20 and a stack of 19, but the hotbutton shows the combined total of 39:

It would be nice if a count like this could show up in the loot window. Not only would it help to show if you had the item already, but it would help when you are trying to get a certain number for tradeskills or whatever. If the loot window showed the total I had, then I would easily know when I have reached my goal.

That would be my concern. Small actions done for everyone in the game could very well add lag.

Though folks already see whats in the bag so maybe its not a data query issue but just displaying access of data already received. Though I would guess they currently send the bare minimum to show it in the advanced loot window.

I'd much rather see a way to opt out of using ADVL on a per character basis... or at least a way to opt out of going in on loot that said character was to far away from when the mob was killed to be able to loot the drops.

I think most of the load for a feature like this could be done on the client end since its not really an issue of cheating occurring. I guess someone could spoof it then to show they don't have an item but would that really be an issue since they are the only one to see it that wouldn't be an issue. So not suggesting everyone gets to see if you have it or not just you on your advloot screen. But may still be reasons it is not viable.
