yea I have it figured out.. if you have ever looted a raid mount, or u are a knight.. All SC/LoN mounts u own will be speed 5.. If you have never looted a raid mount and u are not a knight with the horse aa your mount will spawn with the corresponding speed allocated to its spell. So you can have an LoN mount that is speed 5, but unless you are a knight or you have looted a raid mount the speed of your LoN mount will not flag you for speed 5 on all of your mounts.

The easiest way to get a raid mount is to farm "essence of speed" this only helps if you still have, or can claim your roboboar.. Otherwise you have to do all of the 10th anniversary quest lines to get a new roboboar u can apply the essence of speed too..

I usually just grab a Golden Ticket or two and get a new toon a Glowing Black Drum from the Shadow Haven Casino. I have the other six items, and the Casino won't give you an item you have, so it never takes me more than two tickets to get one.

I have the toon use the Drum, then put it in the bank. The Drum sets his character flag to "Fast", so any later mount he uses will automatically be "Raid speed" (i.e. "Fast") because the Drum set the flag.

As mentioned before, some mounts have two versions in the spell data. For instance, the Desert Kangon (a VoA claim freebie iirc) shows up as "Run2" and "Fast"... if you've never used a raid speed mount, the Kangon claim will summon the Run2 version, but if you HAVE used a raid speed mount, then the claim clicky will always summon the Fast version.

So, since I always get a Glowing Black Drum on each new toon and use it, their "mount speed flag" is always "raid speed" and any newer mounts they use will be raid speed.
