Two I've really enjoyed that haven't been mentioned:

The October Day series by Seanan McGuire is wonderful blend of fantasy and mystery. The first book in the series is "Rosemary and Rue." Long series of books and each is excellent.

There is also a "LitRPG" series translated into English from the Russian. The Series is called "The Way of the Shaman" by Vasily Mahanenko. The first book in the series is entitled "Survival Quest." No series has ever captured quite how I feel playing a shaman main for 20 years. This series came darned close.

Finally, another vote for Guy Gavriel Kay.

The Chronicles of Prydain series (The Book of Three, The Black Cauldron, Castle of Llyr, Taran Wanderer, and The High King) by Lloyd Alexander; it is an older series, but very entertaining.

I read Lord of Light, years ago and liked it. Will have to look more into these others.
