error 1017

    at the moment i can t log in , i got " error 1017: cannot login to the EverQuest server.
    you may need to re-run the Update Patch...... blablabla.
    i relounched EQ , made a check files, nothing works, any idea ?

    similar problem, this is what I'm getting when running the patcher ...

    rebooting pc fixed it .... ty anyway

    Getting the same error and reboot did not help. Still have DNS fix in that had everything working before the patch.

    did you edited your hosts files ? if so change it back

    Thanks Quatreh .. i forgot i edited my host file .. replaced with original and viola works fine :p appreciate all the feedback peeps put into helping others ..

    I started getting the same error 3 days ago. Finally after no response from Sony support and trying everything I've found on-line, to no avail, I uninstalled and reinstalled EQ... three hours later... it works again... thanks for your help with this error Sony... NOT!!!
