Our guild is creating our web site and I'm working on the DKP tracker. We are using Shivtr for the CMS but their DKP tracker is less than stellar, so we have settled on EQDKP Plus. For those guilds who utilize EQDKP tracker, which hosting server do you use and would you recommend it? Thanks in advance.
As someone who hosted several guild websites I would highly recommend using AWS or a VPS and steer clear of using a shared hosting environment like godaddy due to performance issues. I am currently using Vultr.com as my VPS provider and it currently host 2 instances of EQDKP for about 6 bucks a month. So if you have the Linux skills to setup and configure a web server this would be the route to go. VPS Specs 1 vCore RAM: 1 Gig Storage: 25 GB SSD Bandwith 1000gigs With weekly backups
For those saying go AWS, here is what you get with the free package on a Amazon AWS EC2 instance. 1 CPU core 1 gig of ram 8 gigs of hd space Unlimited bandwidth Eqdkp plus already schedules backups however often you want it.
