Gnomercy server: All classes & races are available from classic onwards, but all races are Gnome. Gnome Beastlords are in! But the Gods are cruel so Clockwork Warders are never going to happen. Gnome Beastlords will get a Steam-borg Rat Warder that is a very Dirty Rat with some special enhancements, steel-trap jaws are just the thing for these highly-trained rodents. Gnome Berserkers are in! And they are madder than all the big zerkers put together since their axes are bigger than they are and cause them to fall forwards onto their face at the most awkward times, life as a Gnome zerker is hysterically funny....for everyone else. What's yours?
Great idea Skuz! How about - The RealNext Server ~ All coin dropping monsters will now drop Krono in a 1:1 ratio as do currently for platinum. As a Shyamalan’ian twist, Platinum is now purchasable on the DBG store and can be used to purchase Krono from other players which will allow them to buy items from the Bazaar (which only supports Krono as the official currency). If my calculations are correct, this will provide DBG with the resources necessary to produce, launch, and support a true EQ successor for at least 45 years.
Great idea me! How about the “Hardcore Parkour - Meet Me In The Middle” server? Current 2-3 month release schedule which is popular on the current batch of TLPs… BUT instead of starting with classic, it starts with Terror of Luclin as the only unlocked content. Every 2 months the previous expansion would open allowing the players more and more content. Until eventually, the server would spend two months at the end in classic and then become a live server. To throw a fun little wrench into the mix, the level cap would start from classic and progress with every expansion release from the other direction. So for example, during the first 2 months of the server, newly created characters will pop out in and only be allowed to adventure in Terrors of Luclin content, but those characters would only be able to level to 50. After two months, the level cap would increase to 60 and Torment of Velious would unlock. I really think this has potential.
Healing spells are removed from the game, you now heal by force feeding yourself food (food consumption max removed), healing is based off the food's stack size, overall cost, and satiety index.
All characters roll with base stats of 10/10/10/10/10/10 and -95% haste. Starting inventory includes a walker mount which grants +5% haste. Oxygen is a critical resource and may be either vendor-purchased or foraged in some zones. Mages get a new level 1 Summon Oxygen spell. Lack of oxygen has the same effect as drowning. All player rezzes are removed from the game. Death is permanant unless the player has built up enough renown with her/his chosen deity to warrant a divine blessing. (Agnostics are screwed.) Players may recruit a C1 caregiver merc who will transport the player to the nearest hospital if injured. While in hospital the character may not login to the game. Higher tiers of caregiver merc are more expensive, but will correspondingly reduce the number of days of hospital time per visit.
This is obviously a sensible move but I am concerned that few will want to play clerics if there are no heals. And we all know, with no clerics, there are no raids.
Maybe, instead of healing the tanks directly, they can make us sandwiches. Edit to add, what we need is a program that tracks their sandwich making and lists the best food preparer for each fight, and maybe a combined food summary for the whole night. Then, there will be people who will want to still play cleric.
